Because their not ready yet, Give them time a few will be given the chance when pellers deems them ready...

Reminds me of the first and last line of a song from Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs:-

Some day my prince will come

Some day when my dreams come true

Whichever Disney songs you like singing is none of my business but fill your boots
But as you have such insight of the future, can you let me know the lotto numbers for Saturday
Just because none have been given a chance now or even in the near future doesn't mean none of them will come thru, I don't think we would have spent £200 million on a youth academy to not bring any thru, tho I concede it could take a few seasons...

I'd put money on Lopes, Denayer, Garcia and Faour. The rest all have varying chances but I'm not so sure.

First vote of confidence I have seen for Faour! Skillful player but not really making any impact for the 18's as yet.

What about Maffeo, Angelino , Adarybio (spelling!) Celina, Barker, Ambrose, Bryan,Pozo, Fofana. We will find out in the next few years but there is definitely some quality coming through.

He's what, a 16 year old striker playing at u18? He qualifies for u16,how good is he there? :) The lad will be one of the top 5 in the world if we coach him right, his instincts and ability are amazing. As for the other 3, Garcia has talent coming out his arse and Denayer and Lopes have the attitude required mixed with shitloads of ability. Don't think anyone else is as talented as Faour and Garcia, not too sure whether they'll have the ethic and attitude required as they get older. Just my opinion though and probably not that accurate :)
I think you're pretty much spot on there, especially as regards Faour. He's not long back turned 16, give the lad a break.

got two words for you.. Brahim Abdelkader

Ain't seen nothing yet. Really. He's got a long way to go to justify the hype. Hope he does, but right now there's far more chance of Manu Garcia making it imo.
Brahim Abdelkader is only 15 (16 in March), I think he's got time on his side. He always plays against older (and bigger) players, his size may be the only thing that holds him back but at his age nobody knows how his body will grow.
Garcia has just turned 17 so should be showing more right now (considering they both are very talented).

I didn't say I like singing it

Nothing to do with having such insight of the future, this is a forum where we put forward our own views and opinions

I don't have a problem with you not agreeing with me

It just seems that you have a problem with me not agreeing with you

Sad to say but none of them

There will always be a reason/excuse to never give any of them a decent run of games to show what they can do

It's the City/Pellegrini way now

And you know all this how?

Because Pellegrini has never given youngsters a chance at City and there's no reason to think he'll start now?

There's every reason......only now are we beginning to witness a batch of players who have the ability and mentality to be introduced and succeed in the highly pressurised environment of the first team.
Pellegrini attends our EDS games,so he is looking and he is aware......he isn't going to involve kids just to keep a few needy supporters happy,he will do it when he feels it benefits both the club and the individual,as is now evident.
Under his management,i don't think he has neglected any opportunity to bring a deserving kid through, none have been good enough unfortunately.

I predict a few will begin to feature regularly in the near future,my money is on Angelino,Maffeo,Barker and Ambrose.Ntcham could also develop into a monster.

Not got a problem with your opinion fella, just think your making a bit of a sweeping statement with regards to our kids, I'm not saying for certain we will bring any thru, I'm keeping an open mind towards it but at the same time hoping we do, there would be no better feeling than to have a few of our youngsters(and even better if their local lads) standing on a podium with a title medal round their necks...

The real quality is starting to come through in the under 18's, many of whom are playing up in the EDS team. I agree with the players that you have mentioned. I would also toss in a dark horse - Boadu. He has been through a couple of long term injuries, but he has enormous talent when right. Ntcham is also an underrated player by many, but seems to be improving his consistency.

I said in the Evans thread that I have a sentimental view that he gets through to the squad in the next couple of years. He has been with City (as has Glendon) since they were 5 years old. No one has ever been able to play through every age group and then play for the first team. I appreciate that the odds for any of them is slim. But the thing I like about Evans is his mentality. He really is a switched on young player, and that attitude will carry him a long way.

I think the CL squad restrictions will force our hand here. I don’t see any English players that we could realistically get and would fit in / improve our squad. That means that when the likes of Lampard and Milner go they will need to be replaced by HG or CT players that means signing them young or promoting EDS. Again not many 20 year olds would fit / improve the squad. There are exceptions like Pogba and Fabregas that count as HG but they are few and far between. The only realistic option is promoting EDS players.

Angelino must have his eye on Kolarov’s place.

Good post JL.

Boadu is a talent, and the Arse's loss...... initially very inconsistent,he now seems to have gained momentum and often becomes a game changer, hopefully the injuries are just bad luck and short term,he seems very focused.

I too hope the same for Evans,a seemingly great attitude that deserves success.
