Who can we actually class as world class players?

World class players do it when the time is right.

Which is why we can honestly say we have nobody at our own club at present, although I believe Hart has the potential in a niche position.

Class is over a period of time, which is why, as much as I hate to admit it, both Scholes and Giggs were world class.

The last truly world class player in this country was Thierry Henry.

Cristiano Ronaldo never did it in World Cup and European Championship finals.

Neither did Giggs, but you've just said he was world class...

Ronaldo WAS world class, and still IS world class. He scored about 47 million goals in his rag career, or something daft like that.

I believe that, regardless of what you think, if you polled the 100 top club managers in the world and asked them if they would put Wayne Rooney in their side, you'd get 100 "Yes"s.

He's the best player in England and one of the best in the world.

In fact I'd go further and say he's the best striker in the world.

PRemiership class means they would get into a premiership team
International class means they would get into an international team
World class means they would get into a world team.
