Who's the greatest ?

David Silva. Yaya wouldn't be far behind.

I gave serious consideration to both Elano & Michael Johnson, both of who on their day were just a joy to behold, but it was all too fleeting.

To put Michael Johnson and Elano up there with Yaya and Dave is daft mate.
2 good players. Far from the greatest ever though.

MJ having a few good games for us is like saying Rashford is one of Utds greatest. A kid having a few good games is for a different topic, not the greatest ever topic.

It depends, and ultimately why I didn't consider them. But Elano & Michael Johnson on their day were sheer magic. But David & Yaya have had hundreds of those days for us.

Agreed, just that MJ's best day was v Villa - Not the highest of standards.
Yaya's best days were winning leagues and cups.
I think as times going on you're letting your heart rule your head. Not sure he was quite as good as we might want to remember him.

Of the current crop Yaya. Silva runs games but Yaya won them with some truly outrageous power./skill. In the little I saw Bell while less powerful was an even better all round player and he played on shit heaps. As someone mentioned the most talented Kinky. In the right team with the right coach he could have been up there with Messi.

Grandad said Docherty and my old fella always said Bell until recently when he said Silva might be the best he's seen, he's 70 so he's seen a few.
I can't split Toure and Silva though I think the 2 best seasons we had off Tevez he was right up there

Definately toure due to him being unique. You don't replace yaya like for like because no other player has his skill set. Those seasons when players just bounced of him when he was on a run were amazing, no one else can do this. Plus the important goals he scored for us. Still has the ability to control the right game even though he has lost a yard.

Next would be Sergio then silva. If silva didn't completely fall to pieces in front of goal it would have been a harder choice.
