Why we will win the league!

The Liverpool pundits in the media are talking up their season regardless of where they finish. They’ll keep that mantra up no matter what the results are over the weekend.

Having said that if they win tomorrow they’ll get very giddy again and Leicester and Rodgers will hit messianic heights by kick off on Monday.

Yep - we really really could do with Newcastle taking a point tomorrow, to avoid unbearable levels of pressure on Monday night.
Fingers / legs / toes / arms etc all crossed.

Fair enough. As someone else mentioned, money will be the reason for the playoff game, coupled with the fact it's never got to 'goals scored' yet, never mind a playoff/head to head decision

Not in the PL but Arsenal won the league on goals scored in 1988/89

That's some world class paranoia there, fella!

I haven't heard a single person in the football media who doesn't make us overwhelming favourites. The mood music from the Liverpool supporting pundits has changed to "It's been a great season wherever we finish" whereas even a few weeks ago it was "This could be our year"

Not at all Dave. You should know me by now. Pint pot always half empty, mate. ;-)

Week after Week while we’ve been chasing Liverpool, one game after another playing after them(thanks to the PL and the TV companies), Liverpool and the footballing media in general have had us down as bottlers. Going to lose. Going to draw. Going to slip up. Going to give Liverpool that chance to stay in-front of us. Blah, blah, f***ing blah! Struggling to think of anyone apart from City fans who gave us a chance of winning all those games and staying in-front of Liverpool. Now as we reach the end game, there’s still a general conclusion that we will still slip up in 1 of our 2 remaining games, with Leicester being the most likely game. But you are correct. As those games where we would and should have slipped up have come and gone, those confident and loud noises have turned into desperate and quiet noises. The bluster has now become a bluff. But make no mistake about it, the Footballing media in this country is still running with the City will slip up scenario, and supporting Liverpool, which is being lapped up by every Liverpool fan across the interweb and on social media. When in reality the Footballing Media in this country should be lording City for the strength, character, resolve, determination, etc we have shown in the race with Liverpool to *retain our title*.

Now this is paranoia. When, and if we win the title, the footballing media in this country will choke on their own bile, and in the process focus on how Liverpool lost the title race, rather than how City won the title race. Mark my words,

Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo saying that he will hopefully give minutes to his backup goalie, Will Norris, in the final two games of their season. Consistent with the rest of Liverpool's season, he'll probably chuck one into his own net

Interesting when sides play full strength against us, and fight like it’s an FA Cup Final ala Burnley the comment is made that the league is honest. Wonder if the opposite will be said about Wolves, thought not..

You're right and it's unbelievable that a team that will probably win their final 14 league games to clinch the title while competing in 4 competitions won't be hailed to the high heavens for being unbelievably tough mentally

City winning the final 5 games under enormous pressure in 2014 has been swept under the carpet.

Yeah wasn't it against Tottenham that Carragher shouted something like "SALAH YOU DANCER!" when Lloris gifted them the winner, feck knows why but it nauseating in the extreme. I think I switched the telly off straight afterwards

EDIT - could have been against Chelsea when it scored that worldie, I've tried to erase these moments from LFCTV's coverage (Sky) that we've had to endure recently

Yeah it was Spurs he shouted the little dancer comment. Then followed it up the next game against Southampton by screaming 'top of the league'

It's amazing that Sky let him do it. At least Neville is professional.

So last week the media were saying we struggle at burnley 4pts from 9 or something. This week nothing about Liverpool’s 1 win in ten years at Newcastle
