Why we will win the league!

That last second goal against Spurs could be a killer.

I agree with Pep, if we drop any points, that will be it.

Got a horrible feeling we’ll have to settle for the League Cup and the FA Cup - not too bad I guess (think back 20 years!) just need to hibernate from the fucking Dippers if they win it. Small margins have all gone their way I’m afraid... it can happen but we’ve been superb whatever happens.

As it stands at the moment I'd take the League over everything - win 6 games on the spin - beat the rags in the derby to boot and deny the dippers the title - that would be excellent. Then the FA Cup because it would be daft not to - then then the CL only coz we are perennial semi finalists and it will come this season or the next but right now seeing the dippers have their best season in years and coming up empty would be fucking priceless.

Fuck the 2nd leg, fuck the CL, play our strongest team v palace and heap the pressure on the dippers. Luck evens itself out and they’re due some bad luck, come on Chelsea

I worry the way we are playing right now. Niggles and injuries are having an affect and for some reason pep refuses to play sane when we need fresh legs. Palace just got a whole lot tougher.

How has palace got tougher? surely fact that he rotated so much for a chumps league qf would indicate how serious he his about the league. As long as we dont rely on mahrez again I think we have way too much for palace to cope with.

One good thing about Aguero compared to Kane is, he is always fit to deliver when the call of duty is for a club and injuries himself for Country duties. Kane is mostly injured for both.

I doubt the new age City fans can relate to this.. Ever since the oil empire took over, was always matter of time that City emerges into a super power and it did.
Imagine a coach like Pep at the helm.
Fact that he took the risk of resting key players almost worked coz a goal or a goalless draw would have worked for us. A strategical move by Pep even if anything silly happens against Palace, we have to be by his side. We cant get better than him and keep sacking coaches like Barca or Real and we have to stick by his side like united stuck with SAF.
Endure the dry spells if need be but should be with him.

eh?

There's a lot of talk about how we have to win every game - the reality is that its actually Liverpool that have to win every game and even then they need us to drop points. More pressure on them and they will certainly have our game at Palace down as a potential banana skin. It's such a huge game because I reckon if we win it, they will start to feel it isn't going to happen for them

Agree but if they beat the Chavs then the pressure really is back on us for the next two games and I think most non partisans would say advantage dippers.

Spurs at home isn't the difficult task people are building it up to be, the CLQF rsult notwithstanding they're on an awful run and their lack of investment is beginning to catch up with them. The rags is the game it hinges on but there couldn't be a better time to play them, they'll be out of the CL and their "star" players will be disrupting things angling for a move, the new manager bounce has died and the atmosphere won't spur them on to an above par performance.

Newcastle away in between a Champions League semi-final against Barcelona. Gonna be an interesting week for Liverpool, that.

Our next three league games Palace, Spurs and the scum, are'nt a given, i can't see us taking maximum points off them we will draw at least one of these games which imo would be a dissaster

Look at them another way... these games and potentially winning them would separate us from the "also rans"... we are easily good enough and it's not smug to say so...

Even if we lost one it wouldn’t be a disaster unless you think Liverpool will win every game
