Wilfried Bony 2015/2016 Performances

We'd be better off having Kevin Davies alongside Aguero than this useless lump.

I just don't understand why his commitment level is so low, or why he refuses to sprint or chase anything.

If he put in 100% and worked hard he wouldn't get nearly as much criticism.

Very true - and does anybody on the coaching side not drum that into him ?

To be fair to Bony he was let down by Pelle who should never have started him on Saturday after his abysmal performance against Villa, it would have made more sense to have had him on the bench, he has been hung out to dry but lets hope that we don't get like the rags and cheer when players are brought off.
he hasn't been hung out to dry, the bloke is on fucking 100k a week, he needs to pull his fucking socks up,pellegrini has showed faith in him blind faith

Yes it would be better to cheer him when he remains on the subs bench for the whole game !

For me he looks completely starstruck when he takes the field. I don't think I've ever seen a footballer look like he has bottled it in the way Bony looks like it. He's bricking it to the degree of being paralysed with fear.

A step too much for him, time to go. Giving him any game time is hurting him further unfortunately.

Its a shame that things have not worked out for him. The issue will still be if we are going to play one up front for a lot of games we have to either find someone who is better than Kun or find a great striker that is content playing every other game. Over to you Senor Guardiola.

i refuse to call Bony a bad player, but he is playing with zero confidence and/or interest and, unfortunately, i get the impression he has never fit into the squad since he joined.
Zero interest = bad player. If you go to work and show zero interest you don't expect to be called a good employee. I don't buy into this idea that we should call somebody 'good' on the premise that they could be good but just can't be bothered showing it.

A striker missing chances they would normally put away can be considered a confidence issue, but failing to create chances and failing to reach the oppositions penalty area a single time during a match is pretty much inexcusable.

Or you could find a striker that is as comfortable playing in the centre as they are playing wide in a front three. Someone in the mould of Cavani.

look i cant disagree that for Bony attitude, form, current displays, effort, confidence, attitude; it's all missing. But i also think there is a good player in there but sadly, for City, it has completely disappeared.

im not sure that form is the be all and end all of whether a player is good or not but i agree he shouldnt be on the pitch at the moment

One of his first appearances was off the bench against Barca and he looked like he absolutely shat his pants at the occasion and really struggled. Not sure he has ever truly recovered from that.

He's never scored goals for us, but when he first came, he did at least contribute quite well in the build up. Recently there's been nothing. Sometimes it's not the strikers' fault and the team struggles to create anything, but the other day, given the amount of possession we had in the opposition third, it was shocking for him not to even get a touch in the opposition penalty area. It was exactly the sort of game against a packed, organised defence where you're looking for someone like Bony to put himself about a bit, but he didn't look interested in the slightest.
