Injuries had reduced our squad to a skeleton crew, especially up front, so Bony is definitely a good signing.

We should never have let Negredo go without replacing him imo. Aguero and Jovetic being hampered by injuries was always fairly predictable and with a manager who is comitted to 442 it just made no sense in footballing terms. We need 4 first team strikers in our squad. I think he is a really decent player, strong, good touch, good finisher, good in the air and holds the ball up well. My only reservation is his pace but if he was as quick as Navas he'd be costing twice as much.

Sometimes Bony looks like he can't run, I think maybe it's a fitness issue, one that City can resolve. If the issue isn't resolved I only see Bony struggling more and more in the next four years.

I would make him Dzeko's replacement and during the summer try and get a more explosive striker. I still imagine a Tevez and Aguero partnership and wonder how lethal it would be under Manuel. The work rate, the movement the craftsmanship, and of course goals. Devastating!

How much will the Mail report it as, double? Perhaps they'll break the £200k mark?

Look at the crap from the Sun, Bony want 200k/w

Tevez was useless after his golf trip, excluding the Norwich away game. Much like Jovetic at the weekend, he started dropping too deep and just got in Silva, Nasri and Yaya's way.

Bony is a completely different prospect, hopefully he'll give us the option to go a bit more direct when a plan B is needed. I just hope for our sake Pellegrini doesn't go back to 4-4-2 in the Champions League especially, Silva needs to be given the no.10 role permanently, not shoved out wide.

The Sun have gone for 200k a week. Clowns

To be fair it might be the equivalent of that at the end of the season when we have done the treble and he collects his bonuses.

Sky News.

A toilet attendant has just signed for Manchester City Council in a £1m deal.

That's zero transfer fee, £14k wages p.a. for 45 years, plus pension, NI and sick pay, adjusted for inflation.
hehehe I like it.

Bony often comes short for Swansea taking the ball to feet.

Good one.

Very humerus.

I'm gonna light up a slimline Patella when the deal's done, for sure

It annoys me when people criticise Bluemoon and say we are all twats who turn threads in to endless puns. But then I look at a thread like this and think it's no wonder people tarsus all with the same brush.

Oh come on! It's only a temporal lapse!

Proven goal scorer in the league we play in, holds the ball up as well as anybody allowing the likes of Nasri/silva to get ahead of play. Can finish in the tightest of spots, which we often find ourselves in around the box. Superb in the air, doesn't get bullied and generates pure power and accuracy, something we've missed on set pieces.
Honestly don't think we could have signed anyone in the market who offers all the attributes that suit a City CF as good as Bony. The price becomes irrelevant once we lift the league trophy again in May.

People say we've been playing better with one striker forget that we were on fire when Negredo and Aguero played together, in a way that Aguero and Dzeko aren't. So it's a question of playing the right pairing when we do play two up front. Aguero is very mobile while Bony would seem to be ideal to play the target man, a role that Dzeko doesn't really fulfil.

Having a striker who can take the ball with his back to goal and keep defenders occupied, while Aguero is on the move and occupies the other defenders, will give us a huge number of goal-scoring opportunities in my view.
