These journos should have given us the benefit of their opinion earlier because we've now wasted £30m on a numpty (it'll almost certainly be twice as much when they root out the real fee) because we only had Pelligrini's and Begiristain's opinion to go off. Who've they ever bought who's any good?

It seems that 9 out of every 10 pundits in Britain are capable of no more than spouting the same old cliches and struggle to come up with anything original.

There is absolutely no way - NONE! - we are paying so much for Bony to be a peripheral figure who never plays. It shows a complete ignorance towards how City is run in 2015 to even suggest that. We now buy players to play an active role unless they are backup goalkeepers, and Bony will play regularly.

According to Sky Sports, Wilfried Bony has his medical ahead of his move in Abu Dhabi today.

As if we would spend £28m on a player to see him sit on the bench, are these pundits and journalists stupid?

As soon as he is back he will be up top with Agüero.

Who the fuck's Ian Walsh?

A 'forgotten man' Welsh striker who didn't have a sparkling career himself.

Can't wait to see this guy in a City shirt scoring his first goal after a slick pass from Nasri, Navas or Silva :-)

Or a long hump upfield from Joe would do as well lol!!

Bony will need to be sat in row G if he's gonna get on the end of one of Joe's long kicks!

I laughed, a lot.

Should we\do we now need to sell Jovetic at the end of Jan for both FFP and because the other 3 should be enough for us, as we can at times quite easily play 1 up front rather than 2 ?

We only have 16 places for foreign players in our squad, this is conveniantly forgotten when this angle is used. The reality is we are at the limit of 16 so in signing him someone is going to have to step down from the list possibly Jovetic or Caballero who may fancy finding a new club as a result, certainly but the end of the summer it will be 1 in 1 out. I would eat my trousers if we sign him but omit him from the CL squad.

Keep both Jovetic and Caballero and omit Kolarov. Either Zaba or Mangala can cover at LB.

Mail: City will pay £25m up front for Bony with a further £3m if City win either PL/CL/FA Cup and he plays 60% of games in that competition

If Bony scores 20-25 a season for us he could be an absolute bargain at that price.

Strikers have gone up in price in recent years with the very best going for around £60m, Bony is a proven 20 goal a season striker and for around £25m that's a very good price if you ask me.

Wilfried Bony brought a smile to the face of one young Manchester City fan ahead of his imminent arrival to the club.

The 26-year-old, who is set to join the Premier League champions for close to £30million after add-ons from Swansea, posed for a picture with City supporter Robert March in Abu Dhabi at the weekend.

Bony is currently in the Middle East with the Ivory Coast squad as they prepare for the Africa Cup of Nations and bumped into the youngster who was also in the Emirates as that's where his parents work.

WHO EXACTLY IS WILFRIED BONY?

From a bootless young parent in the Ivory Coast to a £30million target for one of European football's biggest clubs, via the Czech Republic, Holland and Wales.

Wilfried Bony's career path is one less travelled, but then this is a man who does nothing in a conventional manner.

And the chance encounter saw March grinning from ear-to-ear as he met up with one of the Premier League's deadliest marksmen.

March, who plays for City's academy, could be coming up close and personal with the striker more often in the future after Swansea accepted the Etihad Stadium's outfit for their star asset.

Sportsmail understands the initial fee is £25m up front, plus a further £3m if City win the Barclays Premier League, Champions League or FA Cup, though Bony would have to figure in 60 per cent of games in those competitions.

Swansea had been locked in talks with the Premier League champions over the structuring of the transfer, with City having to satisfy Financial Fair Play criteria to enable a move for the prolific 26-year-old.

But after those issues were resolved, City will now wrap up their move for the striker, who will not be available for selection until he returns from the Africa Cup of Nations.

Bony, who has scored 34 goals in 70 games for the Swans, is understood to have agreed personal terms of £100,000 a week on a four-year contract.

we don't need to get rid of jovetic for ffp with Negrado, Nastasic and sinclairs wages off the books and hopefully Guidetti sold the wages won't be an issue. In the summer permanent deals will be completed for dzeko, jovetic and kolarov.

You're forgetting we'll have a 9 who can and will compete in the air.

I anticipate a marked improvement in Harts distribution without him actually changing anything ;.)
