Will they fire Mancini?

To all those who want to replace Bobby with the "special one" ... what if we don't win anything under him????
I read some statistic about Mourinho: he has never failed since his Porto days to win at least one piece of silverware every full year he has been in charge, no matter where he has managed.

Rooney is almost carrying them singlehandedly. Let's get it in perspective though, he's probably the only one of theirs now who'd get in our starting 11. If we lose the title to them it is going to hurt, not just because of who they are, but because of what they are not. It would be hard for the coaching staff to lift the squad and lead a title charge next season after the start we made and the way we outplayed them.

Sorry Dave but are you saying nani, Valencia or young wouldn't get into our team? because I tell you what we arnt winning anything until we get someone who can put in some decent crosses on a regular basis.

What a bizarre point to make.

Not really.

Mourinho is seen as some kind of guarantee of success by far too many people. With him as manager they are convinced we would be invincible.
No doubt if he failed to win anything then Guardiola would be next 'guaranteed silverware' manager.

There are two things you can bet your life on:

1. Big Bucks winning the chase today.

2. Jose guaranteeing success.

Tempt Red Nose out of retirement with an offer he can't refuse.

I am convinced that Guardiola will never manage another team after Barcelona. He certainly wouldn't be tempted away with the talent at his disposal at Barcelona

The reason he's seen as a guarantee of success is that he is close to that as there is in the modern game.

The comment "what if he doesn't achieve success" is meaningless. It's insane. It's like me going to my wife and saying "I'm going to buy a Ferrarri" and her saying "But what if it's too slow". Or me falling in love with the multimillionaire model daughter of a brewery owner and saying "Sorry love, I'm going to have to let you go in case you dump me and leave me heartbroken".

It's lazy, illogical thinking. But ADUG of course won't think like that so it's irrelevant.
