Will they fire Mancini?

I think it's disrespectful to Mancini that you fans are discussing other managers and him be being fired. In the middle of fighting for a championship. All this uncertainly will filter through and could impact the players. I don't think some of the fans understand the job that Mancini's had to do to take city to the next level. The right players he's had to buy. Few managers could do his job. Can Mourinho build a squad from 7th to first?

On your highlighted point, yes I believe he can.
And as to the thought that a thread on a forum could de-rail a league campaign, well that frankly is a little silly.

There's no need for Mourinho to leave Madrid, at least not for the next couple years.

He wins the league, he is getting closer to Barca all the time. He has also fought some very clever battles when he did for Valdano.

But I do think that will ultimately result in Mourinho taking the United job when the time comes.

I do know Spurs have been told to back off because of what they are being told from the Jose camp.

Hi Tolm,

totally disagree with your assumption on Mourinho. first of all if he wins the CL along with the league this season that's job done at Madrid and he will be on the market as there will be nothing else to prove.
Guillem Balague mentioned last week that although he finds the Spurs job appealing if it was available the post that he actually would like is Man city. Forget chelski, again nothing to prove and too much of a rebuilding job.

Also bear in mind that contrary to media and public opinion the rags want Pep Guardiola to replace Slur Alex when he eventually goes as there is an influential opposition within the swamp to Mourinho taking over as they believe he does not represent their so called philosophy. If they don't get Guardiola, Moyes will be the next choice.

Nothing short of winning the league will keep Bob in his job. I cast your mind back to what khaldoon said when we were eliminated out of the champs league and the media said it was a disaster as we have lost 30 mil in revenue with FFP and all that. khaldoon said the target for this season is and remains the title!!

Blowing an 8 to 5 point lead with the best squad in British football will not go down well in Abu Dhabi.

Regards.

That's an insightful post mate. You know your onions.

I'll have a bet with anyone on here that even if we don't win the league Mancini won't get sacked.

I'll agree with you. Unless JM leaves Madrid, in which case, all bets are off.

with citys new ceo yet to be announced , will the owners let him appoint the man they think will lead us greatness. It looks highly likely to be the spanish guy from Barcelona. So do all roads lead too Pep Guardiola.

I'm not sure our owners are that ruthless though, the media paints them that way but how have they been ruthless? If they were ruthless, they would have cut Clueless' throat sooner instead of allowing him 1 1/2 seasons of mediocrity.

I also don't agree that we've "bought the best players". We've bought some real talent but only a few of them could really be called world class upon joining the club (Aguero, maybe Yaya and Tevez). We haven't been signing the true cream of the crop like Messi, Ronaldo, Iniesta, Xavi, Fabregas, Alonso, Schweinsteiger, Ribery, and Robben. Silva and Hart have become world class players in Mancini's tenure, Silva wasn't signed as one (remember all the doubts about him?).

Mancini has done a great job of improving players on the cusp or with the potential of being something special into something special like Silva, Hart, Kompany, and Micah.

Silva and Kompany were very good players when we bought them, although Silva took some time at first to adjust to the Prem.
Hart and Richards are at an age where every year of experience should lead to improved performances anyway.

But what about:-
Kolarov,
Dzeko,
Aguero,
Nazri,
Johnson,
Boateng,

Do you think that these players are being (or in the case of Boateng, was) improved by Roberto, compared to their performances with their previous clubs?

If you want to see an example of player improvement, take a look at Sunderland.
I haven't heard a player named Sunderland, who is he and what's his position....

Scored a great late winner to beat united in a cup final...

The new CEO won't choose the manager, ADUG will.
