I'm not that interested in European football.

As City are in Europe I want them to do well, but if the European competitions were scrapped tomorrow I wouldn't mind.

There's nothing to interest me in European competition these days. When club teams were nearly always composed of people from the club's home country they were a good way to see star players from abroad. But we see that every week now in the premier league.

I agree with this. If it wasn't for the money involved being so important, I wouldn't be that bothered about City doing well in Europe. I see the Premier League, and the 2 domestic cups as more important, to me personally. Doing well in Europe is nothing but a bonus.

Whilst I respect anyone's opinion on this, I would have to disagree. Whether we like it or not, football has changed (for better or for worse) and we need to recognise that it is now a huge global brand.

This is why we now have our pre-seasons in exotic locations like the USA, South Africa, Hong Kong, Germany and so on, instead of playing friendly games against Bury, Stockport and Port Vale.

To be honest, I'd rather watch City play in Napoli, the Bernabeu, San Siro, Nou Camp, Allianz Arena etc. than go to Gigg Lane, Edgeley Park or Vale Park. If you've never experienced a European awayday, I thoroughly recommend you to try the experience. You'll love it!

Great post. I don't understand why anyone is underwhelmed by European club football - the trips abroad are a great buzz and tend to be on a different level altogether to domestic away games (not that I'm knocking those matches but the European ones offer something else) and even if you can't get to the away games the home ties can be a decent spectacle with the different types of away followings.

I want Porto (as were better than them player for player.), Celtic(easy to get to and Parkhead's a special place on Champions League nights.) and Marseille(looks lovely on television.)

100% in agreement. I've been to practically all the European away games over the last few seasons, and can guarantee that once you've been to one game, you're hooked for ever.

Dont want celtic ..anyone else will do. I think we would get done at theirs.. and with all due respect to our celtic blues ..most of em I have ever met have been rags. Perhaps I can take the possibility of losing to anyone else. .

I take it you've never been to Marseille then.

Nope, went to Paris when I was younger though, what I've seen on television it looks very nice. Far nicer than Ukraine and cheaper and warmer.

Usually they publish this on the UEFA web-site an hour or two after the draw. Whatever you do, don't book anthing until you see the definitive schedule.

I feel like a little boy on Christmas Eve waiting for this draw.

4 hours can't roll by fast enough.

Buzzing.
