I like Shimizu, but I thought Casparij did a good job as right back last season. What actually worries me is that our genius coach gets confused whenever he has several excellent players, particularly the tactical ones that he doesn’t understand/appreciate, and resorts to benching them or playing them out of position to keep playing his favorites despite their limitations. Chelsea got an excellent coach, and they and Arsenal will most likely strengthen up. Perhaps I am too much pessimistic, and frankly I don’t see much change in next season’s outcome considering that it appears that this man will be the only one in charge after Nielsen and Shaun Goater left the women’s team. On that note, I just found out it was not only Nielsen and Goater who left, but also Alan Mahon, an assistant coach, and Chris Williams, the goal keepers’ coach who worked with Keating last year and helped her getting the golden glove award. Interestingly, they all left after the 3-years renewal of the genius’s contract was done. I am really confused where we are going with women’s football after sticking with this coach for 3 more years. Regardless, I must give him a deserved credit: he is not only capable of causing players exodus, but also causes his own supporting staff exodus. Way to go GT, keep the good work man. But, out of curiosity, let me know who is that big fat executive(s) who keeps endorsing and supporting you at the club despite your obvious inadequacies and incompetencies for the past 4 years, and 3 more to come.

Is he a better coach than he was a player? Hmmm..

I was just gonna post this! Lithuania were not very good so it's not much of a marker. Didn't see our goalie making a save! It Uefa's highlights on YouTube I think, so they've picked the best bits and Lithers didn't have any!
