World Cup VAR

Lmfao. BINGO. Yeah right.... by who? I heard it on the commentary as well. The fact they had to make a comment shows how dodgy it was. The fact you believe the 'official' lame justification shows that VAR will work to manipulate the gulable masses of which you and others on here obviously belong to.

prove me wrong then

For anyone arguing the ball needs to 'go out' in order to 'review' something, proof positive in the Panama game that it doesn't as the ref decides what's what.
Bigger problem is if the ball goes out of play and restarts it can't be reviewed.

Been a few examples already where play has been stopped mid game to do a VAR review.

Bizarre VAR in this game. Seemingly non-review of elbows in the box, but lengthy reviews of an 'offisde' that wouldn't have affected the outcome anyway. Odd.

I'm not sure if the penalty for the foul on Kane was given by the centre-ref or VAR, but either way, you have to credit the VAR f*ck-up in the Tunisia game with forcing that decision. The sooner they stamp out wrestling players to the ground, the better, and if defenders know they're being watched by VAR and that penalties will be given, it'll stop pretty quickly.

It also looked like Kane was deliberately not fighting back so as not to let the ref(s) argue that both players were holding - because, let's face it, the defender initiates it 90% of the time on corners, and the attacker's just fighting to shake him off.
