Nigel Glegorn at Walsall ;)
I was at that. It was a mad game.

Great baptism for you that! Can't think of a better way to become a lifelong blue, and the fact that we're still talking about it now says it all about us bluesYes, you're right it was a push, inward in the main stand , 15yo all the way down from Carlisle on my own for the first time.
Typical City, think Redmond went in goals but not 100% now. lol
Technically he replaced Willy.I’m too young to remember some of these keepers but Bravo was very disappointing. He replaced Golden Glove Hart and had a dodgy season with some truly awful match performances. He was soon moved on for Ederson. Guardiola got off quite lightly for that one, IMO.
I put him in earlier. Was a mad game but think he made a couple of decent saves and we won. Dibble pulled his groin not for the first time on or off the pitchI was at that. It was a mad game.

This was it. Ended up 3-3. City 2-0 down, keeper goes off injured and have to put an outfield player in nets. Score 3 goals away to make it 3-2 only to give a goal away at the end to draw.
It makes me laugh seeing all the inflatable bananas in the away end too. I used to love away games in this era. I'm sure someone took an inflatable dingy at one game.
Technically he replaced Willy.
Hart never played a league match under Pep.
I totally disagree I blame us the fansI’m too young to remember some of these keepers but Bravo was very disappointing. He replaced Golden Glove Hart and had a dodgy season with some truly awful match performances. He was soon moved on for Ederson. Guardiola got off quite lightly for that one, IMO.
August 1980 Tommy Booth Tommy Booth Tommy Booth April 11th 1981 Wembley Wembley WembleyTommy Booth at Stoke in the League Cup too
No one is saying bravo was not bad, he just says he replaced caballero because hart was never first choice under pep. Caballero was the first choice but yes bravo was also badDon’t talk nonsense. Hart was number one at the club and Bravo came in to replace him.
Why does Pep constantly get a free ride? He’s capable of making a mistake and he made one with Bravo.
Williams never the got the chance to reach his potential. He was still young. I was always confused as to what exactly happened to his career. I remember him missing a game with an ingrown toenai, or something similar, and then never returned. Not the worst but I didn't think Alex Williams was that good. Supposed to be big Joe Corrigan's protege but didn't really establish himself. Never confident about Andreas Isakson either.
Agree with those suggesting Eike Immel, when he tried to kick the ball long it only went about 30 yards along the ground.
Think Immel had a hip replacement or some kind of hip surgery not too long after leaving us?, may have limited his mobility. What I don’t get with Eike Immel is that he was the West Germany no.1 and featured in 5 international tournaments and retired from International duty at 28 due to completion from Bodo Illgner.
He was 34 when he came to us, so not old for a goalkeeper.
Was it that the game had changed - no back passes allowed, compared to when he was in his pomp or had he just regressed massively as unlike a lot of keepers mentioned he had the pedigree.
I suppose it could be a bit how it’s gone for Joe Hart. I mean David Seaman was dreadful for us but he was nearly 40 when he signed
It is a strange one as on paper you would have thought it would have been a great signing as you didn’t get to play for Germany if you didn’t have the minerals.
Now Martyn Margetson and Simon Royce....two players who has no talent whatsoever.
I totally disagree I blame us the fans
bravo was probably ok but because he replaced Hart everyone was in his back
His confidence was shot
Then guess what look at Hart rubbish wherever he went
Pep was right
