The thread about local pubs you've never been in got me thinking. What are the worst boozers you've ever been in? I'll start with:

The Kingsway - Burnage
The Railway - Romiley
Mary Kate's - Luton

No mention of The Harvester?

I think the one opposite Grand Central in Stockport should get a special mention, not sure what it's called but used to serve us without question at 16.
The Unity - agreed! In no particular order:

The Fir Tree - Reddish
Sam's Bar - Stockport
The Angel - Gorton
The Pig & Ball Bearing - Gorton
The Sidings - Gorton
The Fiddler's - Levenshulme
Treacey's - Derry
The Shanty House - Derry
The Gorse - Stretford
The Legs of Man - Old Trafford/Hulme
The Northumberland - Old Trafford
The Pomona Palace - Old Trafford
The Tudor Tavern - Wythenshawe

The Legs of Man - Old Trafford/Hulme

Fucking top boozer.

As a Old Moat lad I remember the following were a bit rum!

Squires
The Midland
Withington Ale House
The Orion
Waterloo

Then I moved to Salford!

Had to serve my apprenticeship again!

The Welcome
The Paddock
Flemish Weaver
Wagon and Horses.

All quite tasty at times. Think most of them are shut down now.
Withington ale house was one of my faves with the White lion downstairs for bands

The Orion is still there mate.

Deadleg central.

On Saturday me and my mates got soaking wet looking for a pub that would be showing the city game. Anyway we headed for the Waldorf as some on here claim it is a blue pub?
Gets in there and the place must have had about ten punters in. The city pre match were on the big screen only for the fat bastard behind the bar to turn it over to the rag game after we had paid for our drinks. What made it worse the twat tried to rip me off with change. So for me the worse pub I name is the WALDORF!

I've fallen out with that place after hearing the barman slagging some of the lads out on Sue and Sams remembrance drink for daring to ask that the 2 inches of froth in their glass was replaced with beer, us being charged to use the upstairs room despite the fact that they'd have made a good few quid out of the afternoon session and then the landlord coming in and shutting the windows despite it being red hot as it was.

I still use The Waldorf sometimes before matches. Usually lots of Blues and a smattering of away fans come in peace. Even Arsenal. The toilets are a mess but it's otherwise alright.

Well I would rather stick pins in my eyes than give money in the future to a rag landlord!

Wetherspoons on St Petersgate in Stockport is an experience.
I went in one lunchtime for a colleagues leaving do,and in the space of ten minutes I saw about five drug deals, two pensioners necking,a girl being sick into a pint pot, someone thrown out for trying to steal a picture,a bloke headbutting his girlfriend, and an evil looking Staffordshire Bull Terrier doing the world's longest ever canine piss on some poor girls Barbour jacket.
An utter freakshow of wrongness, and this was at lunchtime.

Fuckin hell... That bar from Star Wars seems more inviting :/

I'd drink nearer to the ground but most of the Pubs are shit.
