Yaya - a time to cash in?

Re: Yaya - a time to cash in

I knew this topic was too hot to handle, pretty much like the Mancini debacle, bad for the team but still idolised for victories. Maybe I'll resurface it next year, I'd be glad if he proved me wrong but I doubt it and we end up with a player on astronomical wages whose back up due to his unreliable lazy nature. Like i said I hope I'm wrong.

-- Wed Jul 03, 2013 12:38 am --

It isn't complete bollocks what the OP is alluding to but it will be interesting to see how Yaya shapes up in Pellegrini's team.

Will you give some names as replacements then we can have a discussion. At the minute you are just saying sell Yaya and get someone else better in.

And from you 100% of 50 comment you would prefer a Scottie Parker type it would seem.

Re: Yaya - a time to cash in

I'm just intrigued to find out who the OP would have in his place, he seems reluctant to tell.

Thank you, someone who can see what I'm getting at. Instead of looking at it through Mancini/Yaya shaded glasses

-- Wed Jul 03, 2013 12:45 am --

Read the original post more clearly matey all will be revealed, I also stated Rodwell and Fernandinho will be bigger players for us this season than Yaya. Before trying to call someone out please read all correspondence, this is how mistakes are made. :)

Re: Yaya - a time to cash in

No no no no...week in week out his mere presence is an advantage and Yaya is something nobody else in the world has and for that no matter who chelsea or Madrid buy when they play City they all watch and wish they can have a Yaya Toure we always have an advantage in midfield with him there no matter who were playing

Who is your replacement. Name me a midfielder who performs better week in week out. Granted last season wasn't his best when compared to the season before but no player was other than Zab. If we are to sell every player who seemed on the decline after last season we may as well sell Hart, Kompany, Silva and Aguerro whilst we are at it.

He will be awesome next season with Ferdy to watch his back.

Take your pick of midfielders who are more reliable, granted they may be less talented but I'd rather have 100% of 50 than 10% of 100. I know some players were on a decline last season but most were due to tactics/confidence not a pure laziness that he seems to show in games that apparently mean nothing. Like I've said he's not a BWm and this is possibly why barca let go so easily, we need a busquets more than we need a Yaya

My pick is Yaya. Who is yours?
yaya is possibly one of the best players to have played for the club.
some of the older lads may say differently but i doubt it really.

as for being lazy, not a chance, pass and move for 90 mins takes a lot of effort, some things he could do better at times and some times i expect miracles from him.

yaya is a fantastic player,he is 3 moves ahead of most players in the prem.

Re: Yaya - a time to cash in

I cannot think of one good reason to sell him!

He's our best midfield player, he's experienced, he scores, rarely gives the ball away and has been a match-winner in most of our big games.

Like someone else asked. Can you NAME someone who comes close to the above? Cos if you can we should get him!

Yaya is unique, he might not be everyone's cup of tea but he's got a bloody big bag of medals at his house and he's contributed to the teams success

I don't believe I have to be in this instance, its ridiculous stupid, ignorant, rag opinion to get rid of our strongest midfielder.

The guy who scares the rags so hard, our powerhouse.

At the moment YaYa and Frenandinho seem a great partnership, who should we swap them for Cleverly or Anderson.

Sorry man that's bull crap, respect our CHAMPIONS!!
