Re: Yaya Toure

Ok well it is tempting ( damn it i looked at the thread again).

Personally i think it is a bit shithouse but it is what it is.
We move on and so does he.
That said if he stayed without us taking it up the wrongun i would take that also.
Not to sure how that would work though.

God, I absolutely fucking love City.

I'm with this guy.

Far too many things have been going right as of late, it makes a man nervous. This shit makes me feel right at home. God bless this club, and long live the insanity. I'll be in the Isco thread if anyone needs me.

ps - Since this is bound to end up in the Classic Threads forum, a word for future readers: I hope you've sorted out the whole climate thing, and I pray that we finally have flying cars. Learn from us, kids... learn from us.

Next we will be hearing that his twitter account was hacked!

Personally, I don't know why footballers have these nonsensical twitter accounts. I agree that there are aspects to it that is addicting for the stars such as the idea of being followed by millions but it is really a ticking timebomb.
There's nothing worse than a nonsensical ticking twitter time bomb. Apart from vicious abuse, obviously.

What about those that abuse them in a considered fashion?

Nobody minds considered criticism.

But how often has Yaya Toure been called a c*nt on these pages. Seriously, how depressing is that? And why are more of us not objecting? I'm a lifelong City fan and find this stuff really difficult to understand.

Maybe this is a cultural thing and I live in a part of the world where that sort of vile abuse is not acceptable. I am angry at the fans on this thread abusing Yaya Toure. And more of us bloody well should be.

I think you're dead right.

I doubt the majority of City fans feel such animosity, more likely hope & expect that it's a storm in a teacup, or just a bullshit story, which is now looking more likely to be the case.

Intenet & media attract a higher number of people with extreme opinions, & some of them will probably still argue their case against Yaya even if this turns out to be complete bollocks. The media love winding up City fans & this could run all summer now because the reaction has been so stupidly agressive. If the fans had just taken it with a pinch of salt, it would be dead in no time.

Re: Yaya Toure

If he helps us win the Champions League and a few more trophies then this would be the best form of redemption imho.

I'm with you two. It's been far too boring off the pitch for the last twelve months. It's not been very, well......City

I feel his agent is taking the piss and that they're trying to hold the club to ransom, and bend over for Yaya, which is wrong. It doesn't work like this in life, you have to earn your spot.

A minimum requirement for me now is his agent has to be fucked off permanently if he wants to stay, I won't be happy otherwise and I won't be happy if City bow to any of his demands, if he wants respect he earns it, if he wants admiration he earns it, if he wants a coaching role he earns it, this is petulance and immaturity of the highest order and I hope City see right through him.

But it does work like this in life. You fight your corner and much as I may think his agent has done Yaya no favours in terms of making Yaya look a bit of a tit you can't deny his tactics haven't worked. Right now the world and his dog know the saga of Yaya and his 'unhappiness' and City are in a position where they have to sit down with Yaya and smooth this over - presumably by showering Yaya with gifts and pouring honeyed words in his shell like. In short Yaya wants to feel the love and Khaldoon to present him with falcons on his birthday, you know a bit like his 'Qatari friends'

So why on earth would Yaya get rid of the guy whose sole purpose in life is to say what Yaya is to polite to say and consequently get exactly what Yaya wants?

Especially when it works.
I remember when you used to pour honeyed words in my shell-like, Bob.

You need to employ Yaya's agent if you want that sort of attention. Or buy me cake. Or falcons.

Re: Yaya Toure

I'm think of making a placard that says "Yaya is a ****" putting a tea towel on my head and standing outside the Etihad.
Do you think Sky would be interested ?

I've stayed out of this as much as possible because I've still got next to no idea what's going on, but people are far too quick to forget what Yaya has done for us.

He won us the FA Cup with two huge goals at Wembley, he won us the title with two crucial goals away to Newcastle, he scored the greatest goal I've seen live in a stadium to get us back in the League Cup final and his return to the squad this spring rejuvenated our title chase.

All of a sudden, a crazy story leaked by his agent and a few tweets later - the source of which absolutely none of us are aware of - Yaya Toure is public enemy number one. Why? Because the story has been allowed to fester and boil.

This has been a very poorly managed attempt at getting a better contract before he retires and nothing more. He's not threatened to leave, his only mistake was letting his agent grab hold of every microphone within touching distance.

We forgave Tevez despite the fact he abandoned us for 6 months after falling out with Mancini, we can surely forgive Yaya Toure. The first few games back will be difficult and there will be teething problems but we'll all get over it.
Gotta agree with you there, bobby

Most reasonable people would agree. And the first few games will only be 'difficult' for the serially abusive dingbats.

He already has a very lucrative contract with three years left on it ..... His agent is obviously as thick as two short planks!

I am a long time lurker, first time poster but this whole incident with the fudge cake man has absolutely left me gutted and shaken to the core. Just this past weekend I celebrating for hours with friends and loved ones with huge cooler filled with fresh soda, grilled hamburger meat, and hot dogs! We had triumphed. And this was the first chance I could sit back and say, you know, a life's work is done here. I live in America, people do not know what ManCitta, as we say, is. But I cry and I bleed and have vomited and I have punched people in the face for this CLUB! OUR CLUB!! YAYA was my favorite player. I loved watching his big lumbering frame across the pitch. He looked like an oiled up dancer. So dexterious. So powerful, I can honestly say that if i was an opposing coach I would be mortified of watching every inch of this Ivorian machine penetrate and drive into my side. YAYA is a machine! He is so gifted, so strong, so powerful, so beautiful to watch on the field.

He has left me laying down on the couch with my mouth wide apart so many times. When I play in the park, and even though I am a bit overweight at 5'9, 237lbs, I feel Yaya in me. His spirit rides me deep and even though I cant do the things he can, I emulate my game after his. Large, powerful runs from the center half. I have scored 9 goals over 3 seasons doing this. What I mean to say, is I love this man. I love him with every inch of myself.

But I AM MAD!!!!! How dare he make a mockery of this club over WHAT? CAKE! CAKE!...As much as I love him I would smash a huge cake over his big balloon head right now!!!! He still has his twitter up, after 24 hours!!!!! He cannot still be asleep. I know they dont have technology and the internet in the Middle East region but sonmeone has to have called him. And even if they dont have cell phone there, how could the team not confront him over this? I love YAYA, I love him. He is magisterial. He is like a dancing horse with the ball but HE MUST set this straight or I Will NEVER say his name again.

YAYA, wtf mate??????????????????? I love you, i hate yoyu!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

if you're a "bit overweight" at 237, then that makes me anorexic.

I am American, 237 is lean here. We are built like Vickers tanks, and hung like Guinea Fowl.

Not a bad attempt at satire but you have to make it more subtle. Your go plays like a community production of a stage version of the Sixth Sense set in front of giant banner reading "HE IS ACTUALLY DEAD... BASICALLY THE WHOLE TIME... I KNOW, IT WAS SURPRISING TO ME, TOO!"

Very disappointing.

Apparently the agent now says he wants to stay at City for life. Should have been laughed off from the start, but no we had the moral outrage
