All I can make out from the bits posted on here is that

Seluk reckons

a) Without Yaya city would have won fuck all (debatable given there are other world class players in the team)

b) The Spanish duo were in charge of Barca when they sold him to City (he didn't need to sign for us, if Barca were his love and life) unless they forced him out and in Yaya's mind they are doing the same.

c) The club are intending on buying midfield players who might be used in rotation policy with Yaya (competition should always get the most out of players)

d) Silva and Aguero have been given new contracts (They are younger and probably in more demand) Yaya hasn't.

e) He wants a coaching role at city in three years time, well his outburst so soon after club have won 2nd premiership trophy have probably put a kybosh on that, what sort of role model would he turn out to be.

f) If he is unhappy and wants to leave there are a million other ways he could have done it without the need for this sort of behaviour but there are no clubs in for him.

There simply is no rhyme or reason to this unless he thinks the club are going to say, oh sorry Yaya, you also need another contract till you are 35 and by the way once that is complete you will take over from Patrick Vierra in the Academy while he becomes first team manager, and again if that is what he thinks is love and respect by MCFC he has IMO gone about it in a bloody daft way.
he has got a contract, till he is 35,keep up,

You don't know for sure he is.
So why not call off the lynch mob until you know just what the fuck is going on?
The way some of you are lining up to slate one of our key players based on Chinese whispers is frankly disgraceful.

I want to him stay, I'd make him stay and see out his contract just to show him and his agent you Dont fuck with Manchester city. Like it or not mate this is purely down to yaya. In the unlikely event he had nothing to do with his agents comments he could have squashed them stone dead on day one. The fact he didn't speaks volumes. Even now having realised he looks a right dickhead refuses to clear the air. I Dont know who the fuck he thinks he is but he's not the worlds best player and if he was I'd fuck him over anyway. No player should run the club, OK Rooney does over the road but they are right in the mire and can't attract a replacement. We can.

Re: Yaya Toure

It is the whole "I'll explain after the World Cup" that is pissing me off. That is disrespectful in the extreme, and rather ironic considering his agent keeps mentioning respect, or lack of.

If he wants to leave, they should stop talking shit, explain their reasoning, hand in a transfer request which would forfeit any loyalty bonus and this would allow City time to find a replacement.

How can he keep saying he wants to focus on the World Cup with all this hanging over him?

And why isn't he with the Côte d’Ivoire squad, isn't he in the Middle East somewhere and they (the national team) are currently in America?

Re: Yaya Toure

Jokers on talkshites press pass reckon Yaya is worth 10 mil, totally out of touch with reality the twats

How would we all feel if he said he wanted to stay now? Obviously a world class player but every transfer window would be the same surely?

I wouldn't be disappointed if he says he wants to stay, he's a top player and if he is committed to the cause that is a positive but I do think he would need to at least clarify what has gone on and why. Or better than that he could apologise for what has gone on or even better than that he could sack his bum chum. I do think we would be fine without him though if needs be and I really don't think we should even consider improving his contract (again).

True he'd be worth much more than that but I think the 50 million tag that is frequently mentioned on here is just as far fetched tbh.

haha, I can't see the club selling him either way.

He has a 3yr contract, the club can set a precedent by just keeping him. We did it with Adebayor and Tevez etc. The Sheikh won't be strong armed by a player into doing what he want's.

I was prepared to write this off as the usual shenanigans designed to bleed a bit more money out of us, but I think yesterday's interview with Richard Keys moves us firmly into outright pisstake territory. He clearly couldn't give a fuck about the club or the fans if that interview is anything to go by, and I think we need to make a replacement for him an even bigger priority than a new centre half. Barkley ain't anywhere near as good as Ya Ya, but then virtually nobody is. He (Barkley) is one of the most promising alternatives though, offering flair and an ability to drive downfield on the counter. I'd go all out for him now, so the bargaining chips would be firmly in our hands when it comes to dealing with a player who looks like a bigger, self interested, egotistical bell end by the day

Re: Yaya Toure

Am sure we'd love to get Barclay in but with our budget now thanks to FFP plus our need for a CB I reckon it's unlikely.

Re: Yaya Toure

Whats the old adage in the press about politics that if a person has bad news for more than 2 weeks he or she is usually gone. I have that same feeling about Yaya, if this keeps going for another week or so the club will bin him if not then maybe there will be some reconcilliation.

Why can't we just wait until he gives that statement after the World Cup?

And oh god if people think Barkley could replace Yaya they're sadly mistaken.

Because we should not have to, it is disrespectful to the club that pay him a huge wage.
He is under contract and should be a man and say it as it is.
Why should we have to wait?

Why should we wait for a player to dictate to a what he wants to do?

Also fucks the whole summer spending up and Pelli's plans

Exactly.

It's about 7 weeks until the World Cup will be over. 7 weeks!? How very nice and gracious of him...

He's already taken a break from his busy schedule of focusing on the tournament to be a pundit for the CL final... which he was given the opportunity to give a statement but refused.

He's waiting until after he's put himself in the shop window on the big stage..

I've already said there's no-one out there as good as Ya Ya, but if he keeps this bunko up much longer there will be no bridges left to burn and we'll need an alternative. You got a better (and realistic) suggestion than Barkley up your sleeve?

As for waiting until after the World Cup, why the fucking hell should we indulge such showboating knobbery? If his plan is to stay, then he could easily say that now

That would diminish any transfer value or his value to us.

Frankly, I want him gone now. As someone else said, I would be concerned about his motivation and impact on the dressing room. Anyway, after this season at 32, we would be looking around for the next in line. We will definitely lose something in those big games that he has turned, but we could replace with someone who will make us more solid in those games at Cardiff, Villa, Sunderland and the likes.

Re: Yaya Toure

I love the fact that the reason Yaya and his agent are so pissed of is down to lack of respect for which, in retaliation, they display a huge lack of respect.

Oh the ironing.
