I think he,l stay on improved terms which will be more wonga.just my opinion.the Rooney situation has opened a can of worms IMO the way he took the piss out of utd and got rewarded just sums up the modern game,IMO I yaya is trying a similar stunt

Trying is one thing, succeeding is quite another. Do you seriously believe that City's totally professional and focused owners will cave in to this kind of bullshit like those mard arse, shit for brains, headless chickens at the swamp?
Player power these days is stronger than it ever has been.personally I'm not fussed either way,I just think he is using psg to improve his financial situation at city,I think he,l still be here next season with more cake.i mean more money haha

FFP will see him getting no money because we can't increase our wage bill.

Yaya can go, the man is a mercenary and the epitome of a modern football with him thinking he is bigger and better than the club.

Time to get a nice pay day from his sale and buy a younger replacement.

If Bayern Munich and Real Madrid can win a Champions League without a Yaya Toure then so can we, we will move on.

Re: Yaya Toure

I have to say I'm puzzled by the reaction on here. Barring the odd exception, players now don't give a shit about the club they play for. They are just there to make as much as possible before moving on to make another chunk of money. Agents get a huge slice so want as many moves/contract extensions as they can manouvre.
We as fans need to realise this as a fact. This is football today. Yaya has come here and played an enormous part in our success. If he goes, he goes. I will remember what he has done and be grateful for that. It will be a shit way to leave but there we go. Move on and enjoy the next batch of great players we will see in the future.

Tell me the last time a player came up with such a ridiculous excuse to get more money or a move.
It's embarrassing mate

Re: Yaya Toure

It really is about time some of you woke up to the realisation, that we will not allow one player to rock the City boat, nor will we be held to ransom and therefore we will NOT offer any more cash incentives to any money grabbing bar-stewards,who think they have become bigger than MCFC.
Wake up !! It will not happen.Toure and Co have made their fucking beds and accepted a lucrative deal only 12 months ago and I cannot understand some of the shit on here suggesting that we should look at trying to keep him at the Club, for the sake of additional monies.
Fuck off and understand this has far more reaching implications if HH and Khaldoon were to do such a thing.
IMO it will not happen. Now,either accept it,Toure camp, or get your fooking head down for the final three years on your "massive, massive" contract you pair of money grabbing gits !!

I agree it's beyond pathetic but sadly I'm not that surprised. I suppose it's original eh?

Exactly, what he earns now will remain the same and as if City would give a player on the wrong side of thirty a new contract with a pay rise.

I reckon if 30-35m pound came in he is gone, Txiki and Soriano did it with Ronaldinho and Eto'o so it won't stop them getting rid of Yaya.

Nobody is bigger than the club and the second a player thinks he is then it's time to move him on, sometimes you have to let go.

No, I don't, and Yaya is not City's be-all/end-all talisman the way Rooney is Utd's. We also aren't as desperate as they, especially the last time he held them up. That said, I don't think our ownership cares as much as the fans that he's disrespected the club. Like always, if he stays we'll all forgive him, especially if he nabs in a few goals, just as we did with Tevez. What there won't be is adulation and adoration. If we win, Yaya, management and the fans will all be fine living with polite applause and the victories.

I suspect ownerships thinks what I think -- this is all a (poor) "more money" negotiating ploy by an agent a few bricks short of a load that they've seen before. We're going to say no to a pay raise, shove the ball back in his court, and see if he has the nuts to put in a real transfer request. I'll bet he doesn't.

Re: Yaya Toure

Love ya ya and is obviously absolute quality but he's getting on my tits now.
Him and his agent need to wind their necks in and shut the fuck up, he gets treated like a king for fucks sake.
If he doesn't want to be part of it , get as much doe as we can for him and invest it wisely .

Totally agree

Re: Yaya Toure

Complete lack of regard for any of the fans who've sang his name for the past 4 years. Won't be sad to see him go in any way now with these comments.

Re: Yaya Toure

If he wanted to leave all he needed to say was that he wanted a new challenge, that he would treasure the time he'd had here.

He would've left with no bad blood and as a legend. Shame he's tearing that down now.

Said exactly the same the day it all came out. Stupid man.

Won't get his "loyalty bonus" if he done that

Would happily sell him and look at buying Barkley from Everton if he'd be interested in a move.
Vidal, Pogba, Barkley, Fabregas.
I'd take any of those to replace Yaya. It's obvious he doesn't respect the club at all (anymore).

Unfortunately because of our record with English players, whether we know the truth or not, from the outside looking in it is looked upon as a graveyard for English talent.

I personally don't think he is ready to step up yet, it's OK putting one top performance in a month but we need that every week so give him a few years at Everton in my opinion.
