Yaya Toure signs new five year contract (merged)

Re: Yaya's agent says he is ready to quit...

I think the owners are trying to implement a sustainable model at city, and if anyone's demands does not fit to that model, taking into considerations of all factors, then they will be cut from the wage bill..i dont think yaya is immune to this long term plan. After committing to pay a player nearly 30 to huge wages for long term and he fails to maintain his best form(which was may be already in the past), how is that manageable ?

They don't live near a park? He could probably build one in his own back garden

Keeping his options open by all accounts. On current form, it's not the end of the world if he goes, although I'm obviously appreciative of his contribution to our recent successes - but that's what he's paid £200k a week for

Seriously, drive to Prestbury village(only near macc)..I been a few times,it's fookin quiet....that's why most of the footy players go into alderly edge....but as the yaya clan are practicing Muslims, they obviously don't even go for a beer with the others..must be like living in a box.

As quiet as it is,I personally would live there when I got to my 50s...nice for that age group.

Until the end of the season, according to one of The Sun's intrepid reporters...

"At least Mancini can set aside concerns about midfielder Yaya Toure’s contract wrangle until the end of the season...Toure, who has been on international duty with Ivory Coast, said: “I am for the moment a City player and I will fight so we finish the season in good condition.”
