Quite a few posts on here stating we should not worry IF we were to lose Yaya. How exactly do people think we will become a great side if we lose players like Yaya? The likes of Silva, Aguero and Kompany are the key names to attract other really big players.
Whether we like it or not we are not big in players eyes when compared to the likes of bayern, barce, milan, madrid, scum etc, so we need to build on players like Yaya to help attract others like him to our club.
We have had to buy and pay players well above market value to attract them -we need to then use them to attract others, not sell low and buy more expensive, and for sure if we sold Yaya we would get a fraction of what we would have to spend to replace him - who could do what he does, and what would that cost, assuming such a player would want to come?
FFP is real, people on here have scoffed at it for years and said it will not affect our owners, that they and we are too clever - well it is real and it is here to stay, and losing prize assets is not a clever way around it, in my opinion.
