Quite a few posts on here stating we should not worry IF we were to lose Yaya. How exactly do people think we will become a great side if we lose players like Yaya? The likes of Silva, Aguero and Kompany are the key names to attract other really big players.

Whether we like it or not we are not big in players eyes when compared to the likes of bayern, barce, milan, madrid, scum etc, so we need to build on players like Yaya to help attract others like him to our club.

We have had to buy and pay players well above market value to attract them -we need to then use them to attract others, not sell low and buy more expensive, and for sure if we sold Yaya we would get a fraction of what we would have to spend to replace him - who could do what he does, and what would that cost, assuming such a player would want to come?

FFP is real, people on here have scoffed at it for years and said it will not affect our owners, that they and we are too clever - well it is real and it is here to stay, and losing prize assets is not a clever way around it, in my opinion.

Keep Yaya City

As i posted earlier, Yaya plays well in "big" games or when he can be arsed, for 200,000 quid a week, not good enough (not his talent, but his application).
Thinks his shit does not stink and he is bigger than the club.
We can get two young and hungry for success players for what we pay him.

ramires and benat in his absence.

wouldn't be the same but it would certainly improve our midfield IMO.

RVP was 29 when he went to United. He has made a significant impact to their team. This season, many pundits say he is the key difference between us.
Last summer many people were quoting his age as if he was the verge of retirement.

28 to 32 is probably the peak for most pros.

Yaya is a special player who has played a key role in our success. There are huge TV revenues coming in to the PL in coming years.

IMO it would be madness to let our best player leave.
No worries there, mate. Dave signed a new contract last September.
Ha! ;-)
We're all entitled to our opinions.
I acknowledge Silva is important and I am pleased he signed but for me Yaya is better.

Re: Yaya's agent says he is ready to quit...

Yaya's agent has been playing these games all through his career, if you search for his name you'll find a bunch of Barcelona links from his time there, all with similar themes... Yaya not respected... Yaya must play more... It's not about money... etc

The very same agent also claimed that Yaya would NEVER sign for City and yet he did. Dimitri Seluk is a scum bag much like Kia Joorabchian, its all about whoring the players on your books for the most money. It backfired on Tevez and I am certain that the City owners will not allow Yaya and his agent to walk all over them.

He is a quality player but for me if he does not want to pull on the blue shirt and give his all for the club them he can gladly leave, but it must be on our terms and not his.

Wait a minute, who's the Daddy here?

If Yaya's Agent, or even Yaya himsef don't want to be a part of one of the most exciting projects in World football, then both of them can........(fill in as appropriate)

Nodbody is bigger than the club.(or Sheikh Mansour) End of.

At the bottom line most players want as much money as possible and the best chance of winning prestigious trophies, like the CL.

I fear we are in danger of being short sighted, like we were in the summer transfer window.

To win the trophies we need to show we will pay for "world class" players. Yaya is probably the best midfielder in the PL.

Letting him go to a rival would damage our reputation as being ambitious "to become the best".

I'm sure his agent is just negotiating for a better financial deal.
