Yaya

There's always someone out there, although you also have to remember Fernandinho is closer to his 30s, than mid-20s.

Thankfully, he will be like many Brazilians of the Cafu nature, who will defy the sands of time and remain at a top level.

We missed a real trick not throwing £150k a week at Pogba when we had the chance, Vieira had already told City to get the lad.

He was a free transfer, too. Now it will cost the money you would get for Yaya, simply because you are also buying his potential.

If there is any sense of a slight drop-off from Yaya over the next 12 months, we need to be clever.

Funnily enough, Yaya is one guy I could see enjoying his final playing days in New York. He would be huge over there and we could easily justify paying ourselves £50m for the privilege.

Perhaps, like Beckham, bring him back in the off-season.

That sort of thing must be part of the plans. Send some of our stars over there towards the end of their careers but loan one or two back in January to help with the fixture congestion.
Do they have similar financial systems as FFP in the MLS?

Nope....

They are allowed three players outside of the salary cap.

Beckham got £500k a week at LA Galaxy.

Obviously, as he says, it was just about the football.

A friend told me a story a few years back about getting a US taxi ride with the driver who was a close relation of Yayas. I think it was NY but not 100% sure.
Edit: After some googling, his cousin is a taxi driver in Philadelphia.

Interesting thought about yaya possibly going to PSG . Last pay day prior to retiring in the USA? Kinda makes sense.

Enjoy him whilst he's here. I get the feeling he'll be at PSG next year.

He won't. The Ivorian death tanks going to be here next summer and in the meantime drag us kicking and screaming over the finish line.

I love Yaya, but if Paris came along and said there's £50m-£60m I would snap their arm off.

Much as we don't want to think about it, we do have to start addressing a team without Yaya in it sooner than later, considering his age.

Another 12 months, and we don't want to fall into the trap United have of not making decisions on their midfield legends.

We don't want to fall into that trap and should recruiting a young, potential successor but it is not time to let Yaya go.

I'm sending Zin round to have a word ;-)

The thoroughbred always goes to stud, on this occasion it will be New York (:

To add though, those who are surprised by his 20+ this year shouldn't be to shocked to see him surpass that next, adding a water carrier into a 3 of yaya and fern is on the agenda, a rotating 3 within a game who can all do the same job exceptionally is mouth watering for next year, fern will get into double figures also.....

Yaya deserves his fanfare, he will become the Huang Zhong of our team, his legs may go but his clinical accuracy will remain, for me he is the one player who deserves the chance to be the old pitcher who hands over the glove, a colossus and undoubtedly city's greatest!!!!!!

What was he thinking at the end of the game? Could easily have been sent off.
HUH ! I though thinking was a good thinking? are you thinking what I'm thinking?

Hard to watch the last ten minutes. Yaya you need to calm down mate, we need you for the run in. Thank you Foy for not sending him off.

Ya Ya was lucky and Foy is incompetent. Ya Ya needs to grow up and remember that our team are NOT divers. Very upset with him this afternoon. He can't take chances like that and he definitely cannot be seen to be hitting his own player even if it was only a slap on the arm.
