I watch yaya week in week out. I talk to lot of people regarding yaya and I find myself coming to the same conclusions.

yaya is a top player but is not and never will be a great player or a world class player because of the following

1. how can a great/ world class player divide opinion so much? does messi, Ronaldo, xavi, aguero, saurez, keane, veira, maradona,

Roy Keane in the same bracket as Messi, Ronaldo and Maradona LOL

I'm truly shocked at some of the opinions people have of Yaya. I mean you have to respect the opinions and views of our supporters but if you really keep a close eye on Yaya through a whole game you see how much he is our engine room.

I think it's because fans expect him to get forward so much and expect him to do that all the time. Yes it's apart of his role, but his job is to control the midfield and anything else is a bonus. His pass accuracy rate and general dominance of the midfield is world class.

He would walk in to any other team on the planet.

before I start we are a better team with him. but he wouldnt walk into any other team on the planet..........Barcelona sold him!would he improve Bayern? probably not
real Madrid? probably not
Chelsea? maybe
atheltico marid? maybe

Haters gonna hate but look at the numbers of goals he scored ....sometimes it is in best interest to just shut your pie hole .

People can say what they will about Yaya but he'll never be detached from our recent success, be it the FA cup goals or performances like Newcastle away in the title winning season. Our most important signing since the takeover (along with Dave and a fit Aguero) If we come away with the premier league this season his contribution will again prove to have been great.
Hypothetical I know but if he had been out injured or 'out of form' as much as our strikers this season I doubt we'd still be in the title race.
Totally agree mate,well said.

he'd start for every single one of those teams

Barca fans were asked in pole recently if they could sign any one player, any player, who would they sign?

The winner was Yaya Toure.

Says it all really.

Shirley he meant Robbie Keane?

;-)

He is also the one big money signing Gary Cook said came because he bought into the project and not for a big pay cheque.Scored the goal that knocked the rags out in the semi-final and the winner in the final.Got the two goals against Newcastle that put us in pole position in the league and set up Zabba for the opener against Q.P.R.

He scored the equalizer against Sunderland that got us back into a game we were struggling in.He is a massive presence and ANY club in the premier league would snap him up if he was available and they could afford him.
