Your best day as a City fan?

The 6-1 without a doubt. Not only the score line but I was a guest of a United fan in a private box all reds apart from 2 of us blues. Their utter disbelief and descent in to misery was a joy to watch. The box was trashed and we ended up being escorted off the premises. I'll never step foot in the swamp again want that game to be the last time I was there :)

Bloody hell mate. The Stoke relegation game was one of the grimmest days in the club's history. I was sick to the stomach. We drove home, all of us, in total and utter silence.

How on earth can you name that one?

A grim day indeed.
That said it proved to me what a great attitude City fans have in general. This has also been proved at the other extreme with major successes as well.

All of the great moments I've seen have been mentioned so time for something different. That balmy August night back in 1991 when we beat Liverpool 2-1 with David White scoring twice and Dean Saunders missing a penalty.

Id been to Highfield Road for the seasons opener on the Saturday when Quinn scored the winner and Keith Curle had an outstanding debut and then we beat Liverpool midweek and Maine Road was jumping. Having spent high school mostly surrounded by glory seeking Liverpool fans this felt like payback and I was buzzing for days.

I know what you mean, but the pain far outweighed the pride for me.

Having said that, sitting in the Stoke end, it was remarkable that they reacted to the relegation with anger and boos, whereas the City fans radiated sadness, love, loyalty and even a bit of gallows humour.

"Are you watching Macclesfield?" still stands as one of my favourite ever City chants.

I think about if the result had gone the other way so it has to be the league in 2012. Had would we have felt watching the Rags beat us to the league - I can't imagine how awful that would have been. Instead it gave me the single most exciting moment of my life - the pain of all those years of watching them lord it over us was gone in an instant - and the scenes of joy and emotion is in my memory forever.....I still watch it now whenever I need to be cheered up... It will never leave me

For that singular orgasmic moment and the celebrations afterwards, aguerooooo by a country mile but the game, second half in particular was hideous. I was knackered by 9pm because the stress had exhausted me.

The semi v the rags was a great day because it was the day we arrived in my opinion.

But for a great day in general, before and afterwards and long Into the night, on the pitch and taking over the town...

BLACKBURN 4-1.

The poorly duck game. Wonderful day surrounded by plastic Rags in my old local in Leipzig. Cost me an absolute fortune when, at 3-1, a Scouse mate said we'd score 5. I replied that if we did, I'd buy the whole pub a beer. Of course, I had to do it for the 6th as well! Money well spent to see the Rags crying. And some of them did cry too!
