She's a 'great leader'....well let's fucking see her or she is all right wing hype?

Big tough negotiator too scared to debate?

You clearly do not have the slightest clue about how these major negotiations will be conducted - you are just obsessed with slagging off the PM, generally in a really childish manner.

It is a simple fact that everybody involved with the negotiations will be advising May that she must not be setting out in public the key areas and outcomes that we will be seeking to secure. That is an absolute fact.

The negotiation strategy and the evolving shape of the deal will absolutely and should, be kept very private indeed. When we (the negotiating team and its Leader May) are facing a difficult situation - and may need to alter cause - make a compromise or be at any other key decision point, discussions and decisions will and should, be undertaken within a small circle of people that have been given the mandate to undertake the negotiations.

The last thing anyone that has the best interests of the UK at heart should want would be for the head of the negotiating team, May, to be put on a stage and in answering the questions that will undoubtedly be put, announce key aspects of the negotiating strategy and approach to millions of listeners - are you aware that they have TVs in Brussels as well?

You are, IMO, either to simple to assess these simple facts or just simply so fucking desperate to shore up the risks to the SNP that you find a way to rationalise to yourself the bollocks you continually post.

Why don't we just call this thread the Tory appreciation thread and be done with it?

Seems any views that don't involve hanging out of May's arse are not welcome.

It's a fair point I make. She needs to debate. If she doesn't she will be seen as scared.[/QUOTE]
Only by people that are either obsessed, unable to assess simple facts or who place their personal priorities, interests and obsessions well ahead of the UK's negotiating team getting the best outcome for the UK from these negotiations or all three

Oh come off it. Her avoiding the debates has nothing to do with Brexit. The reason she's avoiding it is cos she has nothing to gain and everything to lose. If she agrees to do it and makes a tit of herself then the poll numbers could start heading in the wrong direction. Don't try and pass this off as some masterplan to keep our Brexit cards close to our chest.

Until you think it through.

Glad someone else understands the simple logic of why May will be strongly advised - for very good reasons - that she would be doing the UK a major disservice if she was to put herself in a position of having to disclose sensitive information about the forthcoming negotiations just as they are about to start.

Just what level of obsession or lack of ability to think things through is it that makes people capable of not understanding this very simple fact

But she doesn't have to give anything away in a TV debate. I think most people would be quite interested in hearing where she stands on the NHS, social care, the plan to reduce the deficit, affordable housing, etc. None of those involve giving away any Brexit negotiation secrets.

That was the first time I have seen Corbyn come across as someone I could vote for. Very clear on chasing tax avoiders and also highlighted that even with all the austerity this Tory party have borrowed more than all labour governments combined.

He avoided brexit discussions which may well be their downfall.

Interesting times

She's opened herself up to interrogation on her Brexit strategy, simply by calling a general election for the stated purpose of strengthening her mandate on Brexit.

Without giving away secrets she could also give some sort of outline or vision of a future relationship, she asking for a mandate on leading our negotiations at least give us a clue of what we are voting for. As well as all the other probably more important stuff for most peoples everyday life.
