I wouldnt be so harsh......but he doesnt have the physicality or personality to take a game by the scruff of the neck,he needs powerful players alongside him to allow him the time and space to dictate otherwise he disappears and becomes a passenger.

However,when the boxes are ticked,he's as good as anyone.

Not in my opinion. Great on his day, but for me he doesn't do it when we need it most. Looks great when we look great.

I hate to say it but he goes missing in the big games. He only turns up when everyone else seems turned up and ready. He also doesn't appear to have the leadership quality to be the current captain of the team.

A bloody great player and a legend not only at our club but in the premier league. Has never got the recognition he deserved. Will stay next season but that could be his swan-song. Hopefully Pep will get the targets he needs to get the squad at the level required and Merlin can go out on the high it deserves

david like the whole team were missing the first half, he played well in the second. the players him around didn t follow suit. better team won on the night.

We all love David and his place as a City great was already assured.

Nope, just checked and not one person has called him crap.
However, a few have questioned his ability to turn a game in our favour, particularly when things have started to go wrong at Leicester, Liverpool, and Everton.

I thought he was unlucky with the volley from the edge of the box, it was just the wrong side of the angle.

Needs to have more confidence in himself. In the first half he received the ball in acres of space with no one ahead of him and instead of driving in or even just taking a shot he turned back.
