Claudio Bravo - 2016/2017 performances (continued)

I think things will be much clearer in 6 games time.

He looks better to me since coming back. He's certainly dealing with crosses more authoritatively and the rest of the team has caught up to him with regards to playing it out from the back, I don't recall any hairy moments in the last 2 games and he was being very adventurous in his positioning and demanding the ball outside his box often.

He's only faced 2 shots on target in that 180 minutes though, and one was the Hull goal - which I don't blame him for personally.

If he is truly back as #1, then we'll see enough in the next 6 games to decide if he's gotten over a bad start and can now be number 1 (which would be great news for Angus Gunn), or if we need to spend big on a starter for next season.

He needs to makes some big saves imo.

Until he does, the same fears will always be lurking & then as soon as one gets past him...

No reason he can't do it, he's a top keeper, but he's obviously had some kind of mental thing going on which has made him dive over stuff he normally saves routinely.

The derby should present that opportunity, the rags constantly shoot from 30+ yards and offer any opposing goalkeeper lots of opportunities to make hollywood saves that make them look good and feel more confident. IMO that's a big reason why they get so many keepers having great games against them, they give the keepers loads of warm up shots and practice to get their eye in.

Well that would make or break him.

If he jumps over one of their 30 yard backpasses, we won't see him again.

Pep confirming Bravo is definitely still his number one goalkeeper. Well, that is as much as a surprise as X-mas returning every year on the same day.
And once again he has stated Bravo is fundamentel to the attacking game, clearly outweighing the odd mistake that can happen with the risky style of play by the defence and his goalkeeper. To Pep it's simply that with Bravo the team will create more chances themselves. And it will result in the opponent having less of the ball i.e. less able to create goalscoring opportunities. Exactly the same words he has used since taking over. It's a big part of the 'fasten your seatbelt' area under Pep.

I reckon Willy will be in goal on Sunday due to the fact Pep will play his number two in cupgames. If he does it's not about Willy being the better one, but the understudy to Bravo. I wouldn't mind Willy playing in goal as it won't be a decisive factor up until the moment the game will end in a penalty shoot out. What matters is the players in front of the goalkeeper playing the way they did in the 2nd half vs Arsenal at home last December. If they do, even I could stake a place in goal.

Yet again didn't save a proper shot on target. Dived the wrong way for the second and sat backwards for the first. One of his better games but failed to do what a keeper is really there for and rescue his team.

didn't do anything wrong and none of the goals were his fault, his play out from the back was excellent

not at fault as the cross should never come over for the first but in that situation a goalie has to spread and make himself as big as possible. He made himself smaller. His basics are very poor.

I think that's a bit harsh, I think he's shite and I hope we get shut but he didn't do much wrong today to be fair.

If anyone is seriously putting balme on him for either goal then they need to go get some fresh air and take some time to consider why they have such a pointless vendetta.

I didn't think he had a bad game tbf. Calm and composed. Don't think he could have done much with either goal but not watched them back yet.

Are you seriously suggesting he should have saved their equaliser - unbelievable
On train back to beaconsfield and watched it more than once. Yes he should. He sits backwards ffs. The replays on the big screens show he reacts after it's past him as well. His right foot gets no where near it. He's a ticking joke as a shot stopper.

Unbelievable. Its alright not rating the lad, but FFS you are being ridiculous in your appraisal of him today
