Walton left pretty sharpish and Mason was withdrawn from one of our games at short notice then didn't referee us for over a year. Webb retired quite a few years earlier than he needed to at the end of the following season.
But that's not to suggest that those three were named in the dossier and its entirely scurrilous to also claim that Chris Foy was another on that list. Allegedly.

That's how it's done. A fair game is decided by fine margins. If the ref can move the fairness in one direction it's enough to influence the result.
Refs don't need to award non-penalties (remember the proven case in a European game in the 70s/80s involving Forest?) just a sly bending of the rules is enough.

I'm actually thinking about writing a book that will discuss the referee's and such hoping to expose these issues.

These fucking twats needs to be taken down a notch.

Make sure it's based on factual evidence and not just a long rant if you want it to be taken seriously.

Most evidence would be video so would need to be a documentary style rather than a written book... That would need nailed on, cannot be disputed, written evidence of corruption. Something like instructions from authorities to referees to favour team A over team B. No chance of that.

The way Pawson moved Arsenal up the pitch for the winner was what Webb would call superb game management.

Vinny touched Wellshit who then fell over. Ref gave a free kick.
Wellshit looked at us City fans in the corner with a snidey "Conned the ref" look and smile. Arsenal scored from the free kick.

Everyone is moaning about this and that, but no one is complaining about something a few refs are purposely doing in the final third when we have the ball, they cut off our passing lanes!

This isn't accidental, they know exactly where they are standing. Pawson did it constantly every time we were setting up a move around the corner of the boxes.

Howard Webb's half-time analysis of the officials' performances pretty much tells you all you need to know about the implementation of the video referral system.

Premeditated assault on Silva - "It's too early in the game to give a yellow"
Aguero penalty - "There was a slight touch but I can understand why the ref didn't give the penalty"
The award of the goal kick - "All I can say is that at the time he must've been certain that the whole of the ball went out or he wouldn't have given it"
Sanchez penalty - "Yeah, that's a definite penalty, I'd have given that one"

AND all the linesmen have to do is flag for offside when they're "not sure", the game then stops and we're left complaining (again) after the video shows that Aguero/Sane/Sterling/etc WAS actually onside, but what're you going to do about it?

Don't hold your breath for video reffing to sort ANYTHING out because it simply will not.

Always enjoy reading your posts.....don't always agree,......anyhow, surely if the refs are under instructions...somebody would break ranks and spill the beans.....especially if it's been going on for a number of years.
Have to say part of me wants to believe it after the Chelsea, Spurs and Liverpool home games, plus the Semi....has anyone mentioned the 'only one minute of injury time, by the way ?
On Sunday the really noticeable thing was the way Arsenal were allowed to break up the play with cynical fouls without being punished, not to mention the thuggery on Silva and Aguero !
I have followed your previous Walton posts and you seem to have some information that the rest of us have not got privilege to !
I'm still not convinced.....however it certainly cannot just be dismissed either, when you combine with the FFP campaign etc.

I'm firmly of the belief that it's bent mate. Just not sure the refs positioning is part of it. I wouldn't put it past them though.

Video ref will work I believe. It's their new shiny toy and I dont think they are going to let some video ref abuse the system to give decisions about us.

there will be 50/50s and they are open to question at anytime, but things like the Liverpool penalty, Luis on Ageuro in the first game, Sterling against Arsenal, will not be allowed to stand as fair decisions.The ref has always had the excuse of "didnt see it" but now they wont. The press will have a field day, fans will be in uproar. The prem are suppossed to be trialling this arent they? so I assume they would want it to be succesful too.

I would be more worried about how many 50/50 decisions we get against us, because that might continue.

I agree. It might have resolved our disallowed goal on Sunday but penalties will still be subject to interpretation and it won't stop the sustained assaults on our payers that seem to be endemic these days.

My only point was there have been controversial/contentious decisions which have gone in our favour and to suggest otherwise is blinkered and dilutes the argument.

As you have highlighted such incidents it goes to prove what I have said is correct. So thank you.

No one has suggested City have not got decisions in their favour.
However the decisions we have got are mostly correct or at worst, marginal.

Of the 7-8 games which have seen game-changing, clearly and outrageously wrong refereeing decisions have ALL

Gone AGAINST City.

I have highlighted that even the few most supposedly controversial decisions in our favour were either correct or marginal at worst.

The video thing might just at least reduce the ammount of bent / incompetent decisions to an acceptable level. Partly by correcting the incompetent and partly by deterring the crooked.
