City v Utd post match

Just made a big mistake, reading the Mail's write-up if the game (it's my parents' paper, I promise)....complete and utter tosh! Utd this, Mourinho that, Rashford the other. Oh, and City played better. Then made a bigger mistake - moved onto the Express write-up (also not my paper!). The most laughable pile of guff I have ever seen. In their player marking, they actually make the rags the better team. And the headline: "Ten-man reds can hold heads up". WT actual F.

Both papers seem to blame Aguero for getting headbutted too, which is just bizarre seeing as the press hounded the FA to ban the same player as a despicable thug after the 1st league derby when something far less aggressive took place.

It's a common theme everywhere, TV, pundits, newspaper, the whole lot. The day will come when City truly dominate and they will moan till kingdom come. That will be satisfaction for me. I don't think I've read unbiased news for years. Why I don't read any. I just look at comments on online newspapers for the laughs.

Even Henry was asking in the sky Studio, how Sergio hadn't ever been in the PFA team of the year. I don't believe that you have to had played football to be an expert on football. There are managers that weren't footballers. It's a complete joke what 'pundits' and newspapers spout. I love the game for what it is, and brings. Entertainment, skills, tactics, joy, sadness, joy, controversy. I'll ignore all the bollocks being spouted about the game by so called experts.

If you think it's a mystery you haven't been paying attention !

Indeed. We're definitely a better team, but they've got more resilience and better mental strength. Don't envy them, mind you. Our future is brighter than theirs.

I can't get over them celebrating a 0-0. Go back ten years and tell them this would be the case. Haha. And the injury excuse holds no water with me. We've had Kompany out most of the season, Gundogan out for ages including last night and the most important of all, one of if not the best players to ever play in the Premier League and derby specialist David Silva. If they claim studs up Rojo and comedy face Jones are as missed as Merlin they are chatting more shit than usual.

We're they not going on before the Derby how losing their top scorer was going to open up the path for them to be more mobile and attack City? A Frenchman that cost 60 million plus, someone who returned better stats in bundasliga then Kdb last season in that Mkhitarian dude and the goal machine boy wonder sir Marcus of Rashford.

Surely they should be able to produce more than that? The cold hard facts is that Jose knew if they tried to come and engage us and win the game even with their best team out it would have been a repeat of old Trafford in September when we dominated them on their on patch.

That so called 'master class' could be their undoing, do you see them taking 3 points at the emirates and no one wins at white hart lane.

You have to be embarrassed for them as they lack the self awareness to feel it themselves. I just chuckled in new heights of disbelief when I watched them erupt into delirium at the final whistle.

Agree mate... couldn't believe what I was seeing!!

yeah some rags at work are giddy after the derby. i have heard we let you have all the ball and you could not score. that aguero should be done by the f a for diving and that a point was better for them than for us. and that we had to double up on rashford to stop him tearing us a new one. i give up. the most delusional fans ever. and these sadly are mates of mine.

Utd had to beat us really to have a good chance of finishing above us, but Liverpool look vulnerable.

Worst united team I've seen us play in more than 30 years, and their support are giddy about a draw with little city. When you looked at their team at kick off it was hard to recognise the players, let alone fear what they have.

That said we failed to beast them or score, and so our performance wasn't all that either, I thought our passing was very poor first 45 minutes, and half time the game wouldn't have even graced the championship let alone the PL. Second half I thought we played better, but for all the time we spent in their half, we didn't create much until Jesus came on.

Its been a very disappointing week for me, we've played the worst arsenal, and then united, teams I can remember us playing, and we haven't beaten either of them. 5 of the starting 11 on Thursday night are a legacy from winning the league in 2012, and even 4 from the cup win in 2011 (though Zab was a late sub), so its not hard to see were our problems lie, there needs to be a huge shake up of the squad to move forward, or we will continue to stagnate, no matter how good Pep is.

Excuse me, Ric, but we've also had a cartload of bad decisions against us this season. I really don't remember a season quite like it. And I haven't been following United closely (it's bad for my health), but from what everybody who's been watching them says, they had – Rojo especially – astonishingly benign refs in the earlier part of the season.

Don't worry, that hurricane's on its way…

Many Utd fans think they play better without big nose so were not unhappy when he got injured so they could play Rashford in his " best position" and have pace on both flanks. Exactly what they had. The 3 behind were bogbrush,Carrick and Herrera. All 3 very regular picks by Mourinho even if there is much laughter that bogbrush is such a regular but he sort of fits the way Mourinho wants to play with the long ball tactic being one of his biggest plans. Maybe Pogba was a big miss but I think he has been crap this season and we might have been happier if he had played!

In defence he had all his choices for full baks and went with Darmian and Valencia. Bailly is a first choice center back and Blind was forced to be his partner through injuries. Not much of a depleted team imo and yet they came to play for a draw. Pathetic I would say when they were against a defence allegedly as bad as any top side in history! Average age of our defensive unit was over 30 and our keeper can't stop a shot yet they didn't attack.

They do, but if I were a RAG, I would be keeping a close eye on Arsenal. Nothing would please me more than Arse overtaking them and then them getting dumped out of Europa.

Be funny for Wenger to put Moureen to sleep next week when the rags visit the Emirates. Didn't realise that after Swansea at home tomorrow (where they could fuck up) They have 3 away trips Arse, Spurs & Southampton in a row and 2 Celta Vigo games lol

Hmmm, not convinced you can draw as many games as they have against nothing sides at home and then talk about mental strength and resilience. For me they are a side who are great at sticking 8/9/10 behind the ball and defending, but if they have to come out and play as they do at home they inevitably get picked off by not just better sides, but poor sides too.

I don't think we should be crowing too much about their drawing home games, we're only 2 behind, and we've played 1 game less, we equally fail to put games to bed at home.

I simply cannot see any logic in how the draw was a better result for United than us at this point in the season.

If anything, avoiding defeat practically guarantees our top 4 place and puts us in pole position for 3rd with our remaining fixtures.

Not only are 3 of our remaining 5 games at home, but 4 of the teams have nothing at all to play for. The perfect games at this stage of the season.

There is not a cat in hells chance they are finishing in the top 4 this season and I'd love it is Celta knocked them out the EL.

The negative one and his shite tactics don't deserve to be anywhere near the CL.

I agree but at least we try and play football. United were awful on thursday. Celebrating at the end when they got a point like all small clubs do really shows how far they have fallen in their fans eyes as a team. That spoke volumes for me.
