He's a guy that does not accept defeat. If the club's staff is confident about his physical condition, if he can maintain high stamina levels for 1-2 seasons in the PL, it's a good deal. That would be my only concern, otherwise he's world class as you say.

undoubtedly was a great player and a decent squad player now.

BUT

can he hack it in prem league?

the other issue is in 1-2 years time we will again be on the search for another fullback......when prices would have gone up even more...surely better to buy a young player (who we can have for the long haul?)

The guy is a machine up and down the pitch, fits in perfectly with Pep and his style and is a born winner. He's the Best right back I've ever seen.

Well he hacked it with the italian champions and champions league finalists last season so I would think so, plus we will have Walker so it gives us a season or two to get the right younger right back in. More than just a squad player though he'll be a huge influence on and off the pitch, especially for the younger players like Stones.

Off topic but needed to share. A mate and I, we're on a grand Stella binge many years ago. At the last pub he went on the missing list. I went home and tried to phone him the next day. No answer.
The truth came to light a few days later. He had found his way to the living quarters in the pub. Raided the fringe,and fell asleep in front of the tv.
Landlord found him in the early hours and phoned the police.
Magistrate's followed but he got away with a bound over. He never drunk Stella again. Sorry dani for taking your space.

Well we're definitely lacking in the attacking forward position on the right hand side.
