Neymar

It is just a statement by there owners that they can beat any other Arab states interference and indirectly the Americans .

but am puzzled about a player buying out a contract from the club and moving to somebody else that can not happen and the laws must have been broken

Even in today's world of mega rich players I would find it very difficult to believe that even Neymar after only a few seasons in Spain has amassed sufficient money to put nearly £200M down on the desk.

Why would they need to convince America?

They are one of the few countries still propping them up and have a huge airforce base in Qatar.

This isn't about getting one over Abu Dhabi or any other Arab state.

PSG tried last year to sign Neymar also.

Simply the case Neymar had his head turned and the rest is easy.

Same would go for us if it had been Messi

Paris are well within their rights, as should any club be if they can afford it.

Personally, I don't rate him half as highly as millions seem to, but he's a global brand and will stroll that league.

PSG or Qatar will somehow pay it to Neymar who will then buy out his contract. Only issue (but seemingly it's not an issue...) is that there should be a 20-40% tax in the case of activating a release clause in Spain.

That's my point really. Barca are not exactly happy about the situation and would want to see the financial records of parties involved. What your suggesting would be sailing close to the wind in respect of acceptability if the rules say that a player has to buy themselves out of the contract.

What a ramble have you ever been out of Manchester ?

I certainly will not have a politics lecture from any body , go away .

I have No comment about Naymar motifs and the rest .

Can't wait till they sign him. Love the outrage from the 'traditional established elite' and their fans over this transfer and FFP.

The FFP argument is doing my head in at the moment, since when was 'fair play' ever a thing in football. No one gave a shit when the same old clubs use to go around nicking everyone's best players and now they don't like it, now the shoe is on the other foot.

PSG should be allowed to go and spend whatever they like, why should they turn a profit when their owners are worth billions. They shouldn't have to go around shady routes of paying Neymar to represent Qatar to then pay his own release clause.

I think this is exactly what happened when Javi Martinez or Herrera went to their current clubs, so I'm not too sure that just because we are talking about a whole different scale, suddenly Barca can question anything. If they pay, they pay, and maybe years after UEFA can act accordingly.

Haha - then you need to go back to school.

Simply stating a fact.

It's rather a big base.

Google is your friend, which is just as well, because if you talk to people like that, you will continue eating chicken ding for a while to come.

Well done to Paris.

They have basically bought insurance against any further dodgy moves by Uefa and the established cartel of clubs.

There is not a commercial sponsor out there who would pay to sponsor a competition that didn't include Neymar.

It was different before, they didn't have anyone of any worldwide standing.

They have got in there first, ahead of our own dreams of similarly purchasing Messi, but the end game is mutually beneficial for both clubs.

If we were smart, we would push the envelope now on both Mbappe and Sanchez.
Sounds nice, it's just not true though is it?

Before they had Ibrahimovic, Verratti, Silva etc and were still punished, the pressure on UEFA by their darlings Barcelona, as well as cohorts such as Bayern and Juventus, will be enormous now. The attention on this deal means it's make or break for FFP.

PSG are more likely than ever to be banned.

You thought Tevez/Mario's antics were bad enough here? Neymar Jr + Neymar Snr is a disaster.Neymar would ask to leave every other end season here citing different reasons ie.weather, not feeling loved enough, pay rise and not forgetting he'd want to skip matches every March to attend his sister's birthday parties.
Phenomenal player but comes with too much baggage and still acts like an 11 year old alongside his father.Khaldoon,Txixi alongside Pep and Neymar Snr/Wagner Ribeiro wouldn't hold.

Neymar is on a different scale to those players you mention IMO.

He is a commercial monster, unrivalled outside of Messi and Ronaldo.

There is a reason La Liga chiefs are also upset, it is bound to impact their bargaining power when it comes to negotiating the South American rights.

You might be right that Uefa will still try it on, but money talks, as this deal has shown.

Don't underestimate the influence of sponsors.. they had a big say in the downfall of many corrupt UEFA and FIFA officials. Most fans want to see world class footballers.. as do the sponsors who pay them huge fees.

Especially given the age of Ronaldo and Messi. They need the next big thing. Mbappe or Dembele or whoever.

The bigger the beast...

FFP for UEFA is a long-term investment.
