There have been some absolute gems on Red Cafe

But this, this, has to be the best one ever.

And if it wasn't for City's spending, United wouldn't have to spend as much to keep up with the infinite money cheat. On top of this, players wouldn't be as expensive if it wasn't for daft teams like City fecking up the market.
The comparisons just don't make sense as you soon as you look a tiny bit deeper.

There is a lot of bitterness over on sadcafe right now, a little bit of me would like Liverpool to win the champs league now just to tip those f*#kers over the edge.

-they haven't kept up, they finished further behind us this season than any since 13/14 (22 points).
-with all that money spent they could barely finish ahead of Spurs and Liverpool. Following the above logic without City's spending they'd be on a par with Burnley.

I will be staggered if they don’t spend significantly more than us this summer.

I think they are bitter because they feel left out not having any new records. But here's a start:

- Most expensive footballer in the league (also the Most expensive midfielder in the league)
- Most expensive forward in the league (also the 2nd most expensive player in the league)
- Most expensive transfer who no longer plays in the league (also the 3rd most expensive to date)
- Most expensive teenage player in the league
- 2nd most expensive teenage player in the league
- Highest paid footballer in the league
- Biggest debt in world football (they need to thank their owners more)
- Most bitter fans going on about money like a broken record.
