Every time I watch the Scum Smalling consistently grabs hold of the man he`s marking around the body. Nothing is ever mentioned and he never gets pulled up for it.

Have the rules changed
Not yet but they are going to introduce a rule to stop people pointing it out.The refs have it on trial now

I wouldn’t agree they are similar situations at all much less that Alexis’ principal strength is his pace. Yaya was lazy, à very different situation else it’s unlikely Pep would’ve prioritized Sanchez like he did

I don’t agree that Yaya was lazy. He might have given that impression, but no one reaches the level that he did through laziness.

Correct. And the same could be said for Anelka who also got criticised for being "lazy". The annoying thing was that much of the laziness line came from City fans who would sooner watch someone who had to give 100% as they weren't great players than one who could actually play.

Currently reading through this. After all their comments regarding city and questionable human rights (a stick regularly used to beat the club with by their disciples) there are a number of posters who surprisingly drop their moral stance if it meant they’d have unlimited finances lol

In general, football fans are a bunch of hypocrites.

They will change their tune to suit the circumstances.

No, you’re allowed to be talented and break a sweat too.

PEG's face will be a picture when he goes into his office one Monday morning to find a bonesaw on his desk

You want delusion? Try this from the Caf on Sarri's comments....

"He was totally right I argue this all the time at work Player for player we have the best side in the league but as a team city are solid

Apart from Aguero united can match or better every single player in their starting 11"
Hahahahahahaha

So if the Saudis are taking over with 4 billion I recon it will take another billion to get near City. Just cos they are coming in with money it doesn’t mean it’s going to change the comedy side of their football operation. The guy who ordered the hit in the Saudi embassy couldn’t run a piss up in a brewery by the looks of how that’s been botched.

Apparently the Saudi utd deal is the figment of a twitter users imagination.
Similar to the comments about Messi and us offering to triple his wages being proven to be complete Bs

Outside of Hazard there's not a single player on either side that get into our team nevermind just their lot.

For the Glazer's it would be like cutting the head of the golden goose. In short, they have no need or reason to sell. With the popularity of football Utd are going to keep making huge amounts of cash every year almost as a given. I can't see the Glazers getting rid of such a consistent cash cow unless an insane offer is made. Currently they can just sit on their arse with next to no risk and keep taking a tidy sum each year. Why risk that for anything but insane money.

They would need to research another club and/or sport, get a new team of suits together and possibly invest cold hard cash, something they do not like to do. That is a lot of effort and indeed, risk for people who don't have to do that when they can continue to just watch the cash role in each year.

You could look at it another way:

Glazers own shopping malls. Internet kills shopping malls. They might have reason to sell Utd now. Man Utd in decline. If they don't sell now, then their asset will lose value.

The Saudi article looks like it's entirely speculative but this might be the right time to sell Utd. If they are about to appoint a new coach, then they are 2-3 seasons away from challenging and will need to spend another £500m

Or this beauty "City have better players than us and should have considering what they have spent."

Very possible indeed, i just think their mentality is one of utd being a certain thing for them. As you note with the decline in footfall at shopping centres, they are not stable where as utd is. Utd and the Bucs are their "sure things" it seems like. From my perspective letting go of a stable asset in utd whilst other areas of business are not so certain seems like bad business.

I suppose it relies on what the Glazers plans are, as obvious as that sounds. Are they slowly asset stripping utd with a thousand cuts or just leveling expenditure out to a standard they can stomach i.e. happy spending X a year to flirt around top 4 and being fully content with that. If they are asset stripping on a subtle-ish level then yep i can totally see them cashing out. If however Woodward tells them everything is fine, sponsors still want to work with them, big contracts signed regularly etc and the medium term future looks very stable with minimal risk variables. It would take a lot to make a shrewd businessman say goodbye to that.

I admit i am not great with finances, even my own so can't speculate to much on it all. The best thing for us imo is their real estate fortunes stay rocky and unstable. I think that will make them view utd as a vital asset, one that is not to be messed with as they have a good thing with it, for their own pockets at least.

I don’t either.
Constantly on the ball, fully focused, knowing where every player on the pitch is and going to be, is hard work.
Good players will be two or three passes ahead, great players like yaya are 6-7 passes ahead.
Scholes is the nearest they will ever get to him and he’s way off.
