Coronavirus: Football Discussion Thread

I’m done with football. As much as I will continue to love City. I will never go to another game. The PL and FA are disgrace and flicking piss into the face of the families of those that have, and continue to lose their lives to this virus. Nothing is more important than protecting our population, yet all these cnuts are bothered about is that their gravy train has been derailed.
It’s a disgrace. They have zero integrity, sympathy or compassion. We all know the other underlying reason for trying to get the season going again, it’s just a good job we aren’t at the top or it would have been called void in week 1, but we won’t go there.
I hope all you blues stay safe, WE all know that the buffoons and clowns from dipperville will not be able to stay away from the ‘closed door games’, WHY cannot those that are forcing this through??? I think we already know that too.

My dad is 67 and has COPD - this week I tried to get him a test online because he had a sore throat and some other minor symptoms.

Guess what? A text back to say there was no tests available right now in the area and no kits that can be sent out.

Yet the Premier League and the TV companies have enough cash at hand to ensure wealthy, supremely fit athletes such as Raheem and Pogba can get tested twice a week.

Not to mention, the kit man, the security guards, the massuse, the groundsmen.

Those people aren't to be blamed, they are wrongly being painted as the bad guys. - It is the Premier League, BT and Sky who should be fucking ashamed.

This all day long for me to, these fucking arseholes in charge are forcing players & club personnel to step out & become a bigger target & greater chance of dying than they were sat at home safe with love ones.

The whole restart, integrity here there & everywhere, going down not going down, DD payments, next seasons prices the fucking lot of it isnt worth jack shit to what staying safe & alive is

Dont be fooled thinking it will be just s scousers turning up City will have idiots also no fucking doubt about it.

I hope players stick together & if the FA need 14 clubs to say yes then only 1 winner imo

When we are kids, we all think dads are invincible and will live forever

When dads get to a certain age, they are the only ones still telling us they are invincible and think they will live forever.

That's how I feel about my dad. You look up to them, you think they are bullet proof, you try to be like them and then all of a sudden you realise that they are so vulnerable.
My dad has had tons of shit gone wrong with him, had sepsis twice but he's told it all to do one as he's the daddy ha ha.
In all honesty I'm surprised he's still here, he's as tough as old boots yet looks so frail.

It must be a generational thing. I once saw my dad slip on my decking and impale his hand on a nail he was taking up.

Went right through his hand, proper Jesus style.

I'm running around flapping and telling the wife to get the car, while he is pulling his fucking palm out of a six-inch nail that has gone right through.

I say he needs a tetanus shot - he tells me to get him a bloody beer and carries on without a care in the world.

I was at my dads bedside when the doc told him they could operate but only a 5% chance he was fit enough to survive the op. His other option was he had 5 to 7 days left. He said he was sick of living as he was and to not operate then made some joke about not wanting a certain nurse there when he passed as she was too bossy.

Life has been proper shit since he died

Hey mate, sorry to hear you hurting like that. Your old man sounds the very definition of being brave and doing things on his own terms.

Remember that, be proud of that. I don't know you from Adam and during this crazy, sad period, every shitty little thing is manifested ten-fold.

We are all Blues on here, sons, brothers, sisters, mums, dads, nephews and uncles.

We are the City and Blue Moon family, you can always rely on someone from here to try and raise spirits and be a listening ear.
