Nobody knows if having antibodies makes you fully immune, in fact there is a story from this week, about a woman who had it, fully recovered, got it again and subsequently died.

She had the original Chinese edition then got the Singapore/Italian/Spanish edition.
She is the only one to have caught it again and got it worse. Everyone else who has caught it again was Asymptomatic 2nd time round.

We really need a Doctor with a Tardis as it should have happened when they were advised 3 weeks ago.

But every day we wait now looks like it will make the length of the lockdown increase.

Waiting now is just crazy as it will harm everything - including the economy - because its far easier to get cases and deaths down from isolated pockets totalling 10,000 and 30 deaths a day than multiple spreads of cases up at 50,000 + and 150 deaths daily - which is where we have got to in those 3 weeks.

Unless they have good reason to think they can put the cork back into a bottle that was drunk and smashed up weeks ago by people who have long given up waiting for things to change and just want to party before they know this will happen.

They will probably do it and give everyone a five day - go and do what you like now - warning as usual. So it will add another few weeks cases onto those we need to get down.

Makes perfect sense... Tier 3 for the area where in the majority, new cases are going down day by day anyway, makes the figures look like the lockdown is what helped though, fucking joke, why not just do it earlier in the week, the decision was clearly already made by the fuckwits. Least nobody will ever vote Tory again now in the North so every cloud.

The badlands of the Norf will be laid to waste by bolshy natives playing fast and loose with the regulations. The few survivors will be governed from pub tap rooms by mayoral lizards sporting red rosettes.

50 of today's hospital deaths over 80, I can't imagine many 80 plus year olds get to go out often without carers, how is this spreading so badly to them fs we all know how dangerous this is especially to them.

Most people recognised we came out on initial lock down too soon,people were,in the main,taking things seriously and we were getting on top of things,then.....all the pubs opened,people were encouraged to go and stuff themselves daft in every restaurant and schools were sent back.Couple that with Govt persons thinking they were/are a law to themselves and providing nob heads with the excuse they sought......and this shit storm was only ever going to return with a vengeance.

Its become a fucking farce now - We need to protect the vulnerable and crack on.

But they moved everyone into Tier 1 restrictions. They need to be assessed for their effectiveness before destroying their economies.

If they are anything like my 87 year old neighbour then they are going out whenever they want and having people around whenever etc. His attitude is that he doesn't have long left on this earth and he wants to enjoy myself regardless of what risk he poses for others including is own family

I get that argument, when someone is content with the possibility of death there isn't much you can say or do to change their mind.

15 Oct adds 14 after one day.

14 Oct adds 44 = 57 after two days. This is the most added in one day and the highest number by day 2 since 3 June

13 Oct adds 13 = 57 after three days.

12 Oct adds 3 = 65 after four days, The highest fourth day total sine 7 June.

11 Oct adds 1 = 64 after 5 days. The highest five day total sice 7 June.

If you know you could drop dead of old age any minute you are not going to shield after having done it since march , it is not fair to expect them to, unless you have been locked away that long at that age you wouldnt understand , it is the others who are infecting them , they are the wrong people to be mad at

As i keep saying , half of the nhs staff are high risk, as are bus drivers and other public service workers , protect the vulnerable is the stupidest thing written on this thread

So lock up anyone over say 70? Or 60? for months on end so everyone else can carry on regardless? Doesn't seem like a viable plan to me tbh.
