Nope not for me,you do realise that you can have contact with a player in the box and it’s not always deemed a foul or pen,as I posted but,it’s disappearing slowly contact in football will be gone sooner or later ..

The laws used to say foul and abusive language, but I think that has changed now to something more subjective, like wilfully abusive, or similar.
I remember refereeing a game in Beswick or Collyhurst or somewhere. One guy in particular used a derivative of "f*ck" in nearly every sentence that came out of his mouth. He would criticise me using the word. He used it towards his teammates, his manager, opponents, everyone. Should I have sent him off for (incorrectly) calling me "f**king useless"? Maybe, or perhaps I should have cautioned him for dissent.
I didn't though. It made me think that although this was quite coarse language to my ears (strict Christian upbringing, amongst people who never swore), this was just everyday conversation to this player, and he would talk like this to his wife, kids, parents, employer, friends etc. It wouldn't have been fair of me to apply my own standards to him.
There are plenty of laws of the game that aren't applied correctly or consistently though.

Course it was, give it a few weeks and they will claim a stonewall pen was the wrong decision in a game,all about convincing the viewers..

Yup - Classic game management.
Biggest one for me is the application of the advantage rule. Seen plenty of times when we have been piling forward and the ref blows up for a little niggly foul, yet same thing when we're running down a blind alley and the ref plays on only for us to lose possession within 10 seconds, yet its totally the opposite way round for the opposing team.
With the implementation of VAR, we seem to have forgotten about this kind of skulduggery. The dark art of game management.

I'm sure Ian Wright on MOTD just said "he's clipped his own foot and in the current climate, that's a penalty". Well in the current climate, at Old Trafford, that is a penalty, but I'd guess only the home side would get it!

Why is the defender always labelled "stupid" or "clumsy" every time there's a dubious penalty decision? The attacker's nearly always gets the benefit of the doubt in those situations, there was contact so he's 'entitled' to go down or he had to go down theatrically to make sure the referee gives the decision. Those situations have become a 'no lose' situation for attackers, Pogba was unlikely to score from his position unless the defender either backs off for fear of conceding a penalty and allows him time and space or he does his job (ie defend) in which case he (Pogba) can try and 'win' a penalty which 'in the current climate' is happening far too often. It must be a nightmare trying to defend in those situations but it shouldn't and wouldn't be if referees did their jobs correctly. It doesn't help that the media are dictating a narrative which, for the most part, seem to go against the views of the average match going fan. Yes, we all have our blue tinted specs on when it comes to decisions for against either us or our rivals but, with all due respect, that's not a penalty.

Somebody somewhere summed it up quite nicely for me a few weeks ago, when it's a favoured team, they look for any reason to give a decision for them, when it's against them, they look for any reason NOT to.
