Wear his stuff? What stuff? And when you say “bigger”, do you mean taller? No fucker in the U.K. watches men’s netball.

If he’s “big”, it means he big in America. And probably Japan, they love that shit.

As for being “sportsmen” playing “sport”, any of them ever played for a team that was promoted? Did they grow supporting the teams they play in as they were locals? Did they come through their team’s youth ranks?

Or rounders before you give me Babe Ruth who I’ve never heard of either

If I won the lottery the last thing I'd ever dream of doing is making sure nobody else can ever have my good fortune again. To be OK with this is to be selfish, self-centred and to betray the working-class dream that football is built upon.

Yeah I agree with you. Just wish other fans could see that. Especially now. This tribal bullshit needs to stop

Said similar about Klopp earlier, this is exactly the sort of complete shite we do not need right now. Everybody opposed to this has to be in this together. put rivalries aside temporarily, they're petty in comparison and there won't be any rivalries if this goes through.

He's a player of influence in the game, captain of the soon to be dethroned champions and key instigators of all this, its absolutely brilliant that he's taking responsibility to band players together to see what influence they can have on it. I despise him as much as anybody but have nothing but admiration for this
Indeed!

Might be appropriate at some juncture

We dont all live in UK and oh yes, people in Europe watch a lot of basketball and the name Jordan is 10x more famous than someone called De Bruyne i guess. As a football and City fan i know a lot more footballers than maybe other athletes ,but saying Lebron and Jordan are not world wide stars are bollocks.

Football without fans is nothing". A famous quote attributed to legendary Celtic manager Jock Stein.

A little. We already knew that a few clubs were behind what happened with Der Spiegel, FFP & CAS. There were 6 particularly, I'm told, with the US-owned PL clubs prominent.

We've paid very careful attention to what's gone on between those clubs and UEFA and, like Michael Corleone in The Godfather, we seem to have been waiting for our chance to strike.

That doesn't mean that I'm saying that I'm quietly confident that we've pulled a masterstroke here. It could just as easily have been a genuine and monumental error of judgement. So it'll be interesting to see how it develops.
Yep the result defines the risk. No room for emotion when you are playing for something not even money could buy. Keep the faith
