Since the Super League is a body made up of its founding members, then they would presumably be the ultimate beneficiaries but probably only if the Super League were dissolved. The fewer founding members the bigger the individual payout. So taken to its logical if somewhat absurd conclusion, if Real Madrid were last man standing they would benefit by over a billion.

I know this is far-fetched but it's sufficiently crooked to fit this money grabbibg scenario. It would however make a plot for a novel.

I've heard it was an 'in principle' agreement only "City" Man.
 
Hope Soriano goes now tbh. He's the one that compared the Premier League as Disneyland and Aguero as Mickey Mouse. Had my reservations ever since he did that speech. CFA stuff, okay, good model and can benefit City (as it has done in the past). It's clear from this however, his priorities are not the same as the fans.

Personally speaking, I'm not sure how I feel. I'm not sure I feel anything.
I just feel numb.
While I'm glad we pulled out, I just don't feel the same closeness and emotion for the club as I did last Saturday.
I just feel a kind of sadness, a sense of loss, of sense of drift and alienation.
One thing this episode has brought home is that football is about more than how many trophies you can win, money you can spend, players you can buy, the size of your revenue and the number of fans in the stadium and worldwide, it isn't all about tribalism, it isn't all about rivalry.. It's about integrity, it's about fairness, it's about morals, sporting and otherwise, it's about community, it's about togetherness, it's about belonging. All these values were challenged and the truth of what football has become was laid stark and bare for everyone to see.
Genuine football fans will forever, I think, be changed by this experience. Having experienced both sides of the football coin, being piss poor and shit, and also now being mega rich and one of the best teams in the world, they will evaluate what football and being a football fan means to them. They will come out the other side and experience and view football in a different way and perhaps become better football fans.
I'm sorry if I sound a bit melodramatic but something I can't put my finger on seems to have irrevocably changed inside me.

The part where he said that not many 16 to 24 years olds watched football and the length of a match needed to be reduced was fucking bat shit crazy.

You are never, ever going to get someone who's a City fan first in a position such as Soriano's so you might as well get over it and move on.

I'm not saying having a fan in place, but surely we want a board of directors that have the fans interested at the heart of the operations of the club. Isn't that what this has all been about?

Well I do and clearly Gray does too so presumably there are likely to be others who do. Personally I think it’s vital people know who went first because it’s the first domino that starts things tipping over and doing it of your own volition is slightly morally better than doing it further down the line because you’ve realised the dominoes are falling.

Exactly the same, try to refrain in front of Mrs H but when the match is on I do let the odd expletive slip. I never swore in front of my Mum in 59 years. My Dad tells the story of when I was four years old I asked what the two fingered salute meant, he told me it was not good but I continued to ask. In the end he said "I'll tell you but you must never use these words". He said it means "fuck off"

Later that evening he said "time for bed Mark"

I replied ""Fuck off Dad"

I don't remember it but my Dad says him and my mum absolutely pissed their sides laughing.
