We are seeing the Sterling of old this tournament. Yes he is still fluffing his lines once in a while and had a brain fart but got away with one tonight. But the moral of the story is he’s easily been our most dangerous player and one of the most effective in the tournament and his numbers prove this. Always a threat and the opposition generally don’t have a clue as to how to deal with his movement both with and without the ball. And most importantly it’s resulting in both chances and ultimately goals.

Massive props to good old Liz (the Queen) for giving Raz a much needed (and well deserved) boost with his MBE recognition. It’s reignited him when he needed it.

keep going Raz.

I criticise him when playing shit, which has been often over the last twelve months, however if he keeps scoring who can complain. His overall game for me was shite tonight, lost it a lot in key areas but scored a huge goal. Want him to do well, he’s a blue at the end of the day and hope he keeps going

Was the only player apparently given the freedom to actually attack Germany and it paid dividends tonight.

Still got no first touch.
Still runs down blind alleys.
But, he has popped up in the right place (6yd box) at the right time (attacking ball played in for a change) and scored ON INSTINCT!

Kudos to the lad. I hope he cracks on from here, because it would be great to get him back to the form of 12-24 months ago, and just forget large swaths of last season.

Well done, Raheem! MOTM!

Not to claim to be the clever arse here but in the build up to Sterlings goal when he got it and turned it was a classic city goal.

His movement you cannot buy and and any team that has him is guaranteed 20 plus goals

Love him and always have done. The only thing that irritates me is he has always been better on the right and I wish he’d get utilised there far more often.

He was the best player on the pitch. Sometimes just admit when you are wrong and stop clutching at straws man.

He's been England's best offensive player this tournament easily, maybe even the best overall player. I think Stones has been really good also though, so he could also be in with a shout of being England's best player so far.

Am sure some of your boys/men have played to a decent standard if so tell me why you actually think he is not City’s most dangerous player ( not the best ) I totally understand he misses chances but surely you would get that ,if you don’t get in positions to miss you will never score

His positioning has always been excellent. It’s why at times he’s thrived for us, do you know a player that’s missed so many sitters? I don’t, he gets there well, sometimes takes the chance, many times fluffs it. Massively frustrating. Converting is one frustrating side, there’s a million others and why many with half a brain was devastated when he started in the CL final. I’d absolutely love him to have an all round good game, regardless of goals

Honestly let it go , the Burnley one worse
Mentality monster would suggest he thrives in big moments, any game against United, liverpool minus this season with no crowd and many other moments would suggest he is not a mentality monster. Lyon was worse than Burnley by the way.
