Harry Kane

Hire your brother as an agent when you don't think this football thing is actually gonna work out for you, then feel too awkward to replace him with someone qualified when it becomes clear you've accidentally become one of the biggest stars in the sport and need an experienced representative.

Basically, the Kane deal fell through because Harry couldn't bear the thought of having to sit opposite Charlie in stony silence every Christmas.
:-)

If he goes to the scum next season for under 100m and they end up winning the league that’s another VVD moment
I know but we won the league three times since bighead went to Liverpool!
You mean Norma from Shameless right...?

Nah there's a difference van Dijk was someone we should've obviously gone for years earlier for me during Celtic days, Jason Denayer was brilliant for Celtic and talked about as our possible 4th choice for us on his return but looked levels below what van Dijk offered... If van Dijk joined it should've been a couple years earlier but we've got father Ruben now though so couldn't give a toss about the former Shameless star.

Harry Kane has never looked like the obvious one who should replace Aguero just some peeps getting carried away with the assists, thank fuck we dodged him I say cos even though I'm not saying him Son has always interested me way more than flash Arry and been more dangerous for Spurs, now I'm just hoping Haaland signs some point in the future with Delap as backup and who knows in the meantime maybe Liam will get a chance and snatch it! Start banging them as regularly as he does for academy/EDS sides ya never know we might have our striker already but I'm greedy as fuck and want Haaland too.

If Spurs wanted to sell we'd have picked up the phone and negotiated.
Is that the royal 'we'?

Let's face it, your club is hampered by having Levy as chairman, whatever spin you'd like to put on it. He's the net spend champion, for sure, but where has that got you?

So what was Kane’s game then?
He obviously thought he could swing his dick around and get the move.

It's odd whilst this was going on he bought a brand new gaff in London and moved into it yesterday. Maybe you'll see him sign a new deal with better wages over the next few weeks as a reward for his "loyalty"

For me it would of been very uncomfortable have kane in the team after paying north of 150m but then again of he scored 30 plus goals and the winner in chumps final then it's a snip can't fuckin win on this

Don't agree with that.

Kane wanted to go yes.
We didn't want any City players in exchange, just the cash.
He may be unhappy now but he's professional and will get over it. No doubt he will have another great season, his consistency is there for all to see.
He will still be worth around 100 million next summer.

I will say from the outside, I don't understand why you didn't throw the kitchen sink at Spurs for Kane, and leave Grealish. You are stacked in those positions, Grealish is a quality player but he isn't in Kane's class either goals wise or assist wise. I was saying this before today on here as well so I'm not here to rub it in or anything. Maybe Grealish has more marketing appeal or something, but for footballing reasons it doesn't make sense. Grealish will probably have a decent season, maybe even a very good one, but he won't surpass Kane output wise and creating isn't your problem, it's more finishing.
Bcoz its a 28 year old kitchen fekkin sink..you had a price, so did we, we werent matching yours.so now you have a player ,you know doesnt want to be there, or play for you. Good luck with that

Not really. Levy never once entered negotiations, the stance was always he's not for sale but kane was probably the one egging us on and giving us the encouragement.

I've said all along none of it sounded right. Everyone refused to acknowledge what was being put out by journalists via spurs.

I'm actually relieved he's not coming but it's all on him because he was the driving factor in all this and city acted in good faith
Similar to what Rooney and Terry did just used us to get better deals

Yet when he was coming here that house in London was for him and his family when he moves back. There’s no reason why that isn’t the case now the move has broken down.

Whilst Levy has no obligation to sell, the other two parties have clearly become a victim of his stance.

Yes...i also know that, as covid drastically impacted the league, its was no real barometer for success this year...we managed better last year to our credit but we are currently failing once again in providing a once in a lifetime manager with all the tools he needs.

At the end of the previous season we dropped off and we also started badly. Only the godly run during the middle secured the league and as i said already many teams were not at the races...we won a lot of games by 1 goal.

Its a mistake to hold last season as an example as this year will be drastically different. This kane situation is shocking to me given our supposed planning and "3 planned players for every position" malarky.

We STILL need a CDM, we STILL need a LB, and we URGENTLY need a striker...two if what gabby had just said about his positional preference is accurate. We have lumped our eggs into the kane basket and its come back to bite us so predictably.

I just cannot believe the situation we find ourselves in.
I can't believe you're still here.
Surely you should've been banned for your moronic posts.
BUT you are providing us blues with comedy moments like the one above.

Wouldn't surprise me. He's a boring, happy with his lot in life ****. Probably shit his pants if he ventured out of his comfort zone. Just my opinion but I can see and improved salary on his horizon

I never believed that but I'm a very cynical person who believes if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck then it's a duck.
