We can try to convince ourselves whichever way we prefer but not making a serious effort to sign Ronaldo is a mistake with our striker situation.

We should have tried to wrap up the deal when we were offered the chance to sign him but turns out we never put in a bid. Commercial value he would have brought to the club would have covered a significant amount of our layout on him.

We have to stop being rigid with "Transfer criteria" set by the club hierarchy, that's the reason we loose out when we get into bidding war. There should be more flexibility to our approach.

was there ever at any second then any positive movement from city about signing Ronaldo? If we made no offer at all where did the story come from….and who feeds the twitterverse this shit?
This is why I don`t understand why the club didn`t distance themselves yesterday. If we weren`t in for him we should have said so. Poor communication really is annoying in all walks of life.

Got swept up in the bollocks for sure.
Think an announcement of any kind of magnitude involving a striker/positive story would have helped our biggest story being the potential **** of a left back.

The season is going to be a decent one either way, got to get behind the players and pep. Success can't be taken for granted.

Roll on kick off. Hopefully the new statues don't topple over and kill anyone pre game.
