That I think is why they will beat Chelsea today. Not because they are old but because they need to win it more than Chelsea. Chelsea have won loads of trophies but Liverpool have won few and their squad knows that the clock is ticking.

Chelsea are hungry too, though. Their players will want to prove they are not inferior to Liverpool.

I wonder how the situation around Abramovich will influence the players. It might motivate or demotivate them. If they are sufficiently motivated, Chelsea are going to win, imo. This Liverpool team is very good, but it is also a bit overrated. They have played mostly rubbish teams recently. They haven't won a game vs a strong team this season, unless we count Inter as a top team, which they aren't.

Liverpool have won just one Premier League under Klopp and Manchester City are the reason. Chelsea similarly denied City a Champions League but you don't find many Manchester City fans smearing and hating on Chelsea. For that reason most football fans I imagine will be hoping Chelsea win today.
