Going back to that overlap programme, Spitty said three times that City will play Chelsea in the champs league semi, he said it in a way that Chelsea have already beaten Real, Real may as well not even bother showing. What struck me about the overlap was Gary Neville describing how incompetent the Glazers are at running a football club. He said they’ve failed in every way & even the stadium needs knocking down & rebuilding, even spurs have surpassed them with their Training ground.

So why does he think they will have the best commercial department in football, just because they make huge deals & make plenty of money, evidence makes you think they’ve rested on their laurels.

I largely agree with this. Steven is a smashing guy and does what he does pretty well. The club certainly seem to be happy with him, which means they feel he represents us well. But I'm going to take issue with one thing.

In my opinion you can't be in his position and not be interested or have some knowledge of the key financial issues. You can't say you're bored by them. That's the main line of attack of many of our critics and, if he's representing City fans in front of other football fans and ignorant, ill-informed pundits , you have to be able to speak up and defend us. You don't need to be an expert on the minutiae of FFP, as I (sadly) am but you have to have a grasp of the basics. I'm always available to help if required.

I wouldn't have thought you'd have to be a forensic finance investigator in this case. A simple request for clarification "are you stating on recorded medium that you think City, UEFA, CAS plus our independent book keepers (whoever they may be) are corrupt, incompetent or cooking the books" should do. If the thick twat doesn't stop and think that over then it should be enough to trigger lawyers getting involved.

I seem to remember him appearing on a few Man City pre match shows.

He's been featured quite a lot on the Matchday live videos that feature on the club's website before, during and after games. I doubt he'd be on there with the likes of Goater, Dickov et al if his other media activities didn't fit in with the club's views.

We`ve had Steve as a guest speaker at our Mid Cheshire Branch Meeting and he came over very well.To some extent I can understand where a couple of people have claimed he should have asked these so called pundits what proof they had,but maybe he realised it was a pointless exercise,especially if people just put their fingers in their ears and go "la lal alalalalalallaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa".
I like Steve and his write ups about the Blues.Keep up the good work Steve if you`re reading this and maybe next time it may be a good idea to just state "what evidence" buts that NOT a criticism mate.
