from an england perspective, it'l be interesting to see if KP, PF, RS, JG, JS and KW develop an understanding at club level that carries through to the international stage.

More? Probably. If Pep wanted to make it the main system we'd need another DM. Lillo was the master of the 4-2-3-1. Not sure what we're in for with his departure.

Can see Gundogan playing that role more and more so we’d have 2 DMs rotating between Rodri, Phillips and Gundo, and 3 AMs rotating between KDB, Bernardo, Grealish and Foden, with Sterling as cover for Haaland if he stays.

Yep.....and being quite superb in Europe/Champs league while on a contract at Donetsk that made him almost unattainable.

I seem to remember Pep saying he bought Mendy with a view to going 2 up top with Kun and Gabby if we needed. Mendy's crossing ability being a factor.

No. you're quite right someone did say that a few pages back about him requiring surgery for his hamstring
