If we hadn't sold Oleks, there wouldn't be half the hysteria on here.

But we did, alas.
The problem is Jim we did sell him and now we have left ourselves short and open to being ripped off as teams know we need an experienced LB,can’t understand why the club knew we needed one but (even before zinchenko went ) didn’t see it as a priority which it now is,we have been caught napping unfortunately..

Selling Zin makes no difference. Most fans did not see him as a natural Lb. The amount of posts saying he was not good enough should be enough proof. It’s another stick to beat the club with. The lad wanted to go and city facilitated the move with no games or stipulations.

He was not deemed good enough as a LB or he would still be here now.
Strange thing is, when chatting to fans at the stadium and plenty of fans around and about, they rate Zinchenko highly. It must be a bluemoon thing.

That's my point, hence the alas.

The truth is Cancelo playing at left back is fine for the majority of games against teams defending with 9 players.
Salah is brilliant he shows up most left backs, as he did on Saturday. I doubt Cucurella would do much better against him.
A left back tackling with his right foot will always have issues.
Also our tactics means the left sided forward doesn't double up defensively leaving the full back exposed especially against a World class performer.
Teams will target the weakness on our left side .

I think most of us did but we also knew there would be certain games when he would be exposed at left back, pretty much the same as Cancelo at left back really.

The problem wasn’t selling him
The problem was selling him before we had a replacement secured
No matter what anyone says, that was a strategic blunder
I'm not so sure. Pretty much everyone knew he was going anyway, so doubt it would make much, if any, difference.

This is a weird take, as if football people work in a vacuum. As soon as Arsenal showed an interest in Zinchenko every man and his dog would know we needed a LB. Hell, everyone has known for years we need a new LB. There is a month left with enough options for a few games. Everyone relax. Even if Guardiola wasn't just saying the right things and really believes we have enough options at LB for the full season, I would tend to believe him.

I see we are taking the Cucu situation well then -:)

1 game where the team was not up to speed and all hell has broken loose.

Let me guess:

The club is shit
Txiki useless
How could we sell Zin?
Pay the fucking money
Best window to worst window
Anyone now linked is inferior to a player we had never heard of not 1 year ago.

Why City? Fucking why?

As you were peeps!
You're well up to speed.

Never understand why a fan of Brighton or anyone else would care what profit they make on a player.

Brighton are worse off, losing their best player, the £ to the fan means zilch.
If they can buy better players as a result of having a bigger budget, then it very much matters tbf
Maybe their version of ‘the Coutinho money’…
