How many postions can this lad play ? He adapts to Pep's requirements , he just doesnt do a job either , he excels no matter were he starts on the pitch , no longer a prospect a fully fledged first class player , he could go down as the most decorated English player ever to play the game.
He just needs to keep his head down avoid any controversies the media will try and stitch him up with , and he will be a one of the all time great City players.

It’s a shame he’s to small for the goalkeeper’s position!

He looks to have matured over the summer. Fantastic player who will always try his best and it just so happens that he has the talent to back up the work rate.

I must be the only one that thought he was below par yesterday. Ball retention and close control was typically good, I just thought he lacked intent in some situations.

I thought he just passed back a lot and wasn't positive enough.
Didn't try any runs like Grealish.

What I like about him, apart from the obvious, is his ability to play anywhere and his delivery of Pep's instructions to the letter.

Pass, pass, pass. He constantly moves the ball about and doesn't concede possession cheaply.

I’ve just got high expectations from him, I want to see Phil running at full backs. It’s probably down to Peps tactics, but Phils best when he’s doing his own thing.

We didn’t use the right hand side as much yesterday because Cancelo was always available for the pass cutting in from the left, most of our play seemed to be on that side through him.

When Foden did get the ball, some of his touches and skill were fantastic.

Should have played Walker in though when he made that bursting run into the box.

Probably all touches as that was doing the rounds last week. Utterly sublime. However, I do think he has the ability to mix it up a little with his, pace and balance and directness. At the moment you can see the default is to not lose the ball. He will find the optimum balance over time as he matures.

Normally like when players have the courage to take the shot, but in this case at 0-0, he just needs to square it.

Was good other than that tho, assume he was taken off more for lack of fitness than anything else (hopefully)
