Gas & Electricity

yep, London is taking a huge hit with people WFH ... they are craftily using ways for people to return

Alan Sugar is having an absolute meltdown on twitter, calling people who work from home lazy etc.

Nothing to do with his commercial property portfolio being vacant

It's increasingly becoming obvious that these cunts are so out of touch with reality, that they think we are just a load of whining twats that need to stop moaning and just pay it, like it's a few extra bob.
Absolute despicable individuals.
Probably belongs on the politics thread but a browse through this tells you all you need to know about how it's one rule for them and another for us. Look at what your MP claims for and gifts they get

Expert i saw said you must put your meter readings on or a day earlier, 30th sept or they will send you an estimated bill just as it goes up again in oct

It is worth remembering how Thatcher solved the winter of discontent when a whole raft of public sector workers were on strike. She gave them a rise of 25%!

Brewdog has said it will close six of its bars after "spiralling energy bills" made the future of the sites unviable.

A spokesman for the company said: "All staff have accepted roles in other Brewdog locations. There will be no job losses.

"This is part of the regular review of our portfolio.

"With rapidly increasing costs including spiralling energy bills, these bars were a substantial distance from being viable to operate."

How can the French cap EDF at 4% and we can’t? Just seen a cafe who’s bill had gone from £12k to £100k! That’ll be them shutting :(

My bill has just gone up from 340 a month to 630 a month, I genuinely don't know what I'm gonna do, I'm just in shock, it's double my mortgage

80% of the electricity produced in France is done by nuclear and the price of producing electricity via nuclear has barely gone up. We instead burn gas for electricity and gas is now extremely expensive to import.

It's impossible to cap our energy at 4% or else your energy supplier won't exist in 6 months time and the lights will go out.
