Could be higher as I’m sure that Russia will keep trying to push the prices up if they know the European governments are having to bail out.Said it could cost up to 100b

Yep! Not as high as WW2 though and we came back from that. Gas and electric is one problem but I had a letter off my mortgage company today saying my payment was going up 120%! Fortunately I can pay some of it off to keep the monthly payment lower, but there will be millions who can’t.I know really. It just seems like made up money that no one would miss if it wasn’t repaid.
I’d like your post, but doesn’t seem appropriate.Yep! Not as high as WW2 though and we came back from that. Yes I’ve seen it before. I worked on the arrears department for Bradford and Bingley in the early 90’s when rates were Sky high. People were having their homes repossessed left right and centre and arrears levels were horrendous. There will be people coming off 5 year fixed rates at between 1-2% and jumping to rates between 3-4%. They could go higher too! As houses prices have rocketed recently, anyone who has bought their first home in the last few years will be praying this is sorted before their rate comes to an end.I’d like your post, but doesn’t seem appropriate.
This is why the cost of living is becoming a crisis.
People under 45 haven’t really lived through times like we’re about to face. (Well, the kind of have, but as kids)
The last 25 years have been mostly sweet. Cheap credit, so as long as your salaries are decent, you can postpone thinking about paying the balance off down the road.
The chickens are coming home to roost for quite a few very soon, sadly.
Where we are as a country in 18 months, I do not know.Yes I’ve seen it before. I worked on the arrears department for Bradford and Bingley in the early 90’s when rates were Sky high. I thought the French were self sufficient what with the number of nuclear power stations they have??Emmanuel Macron says he wants a 10% reduction in France's energy use in the coming weeks and months, as he called on homes and businesses to cut back.
The French president warned that energy rationing plans were being prepared for this winter "in case" voluntary efforts were not enough.
Mr Macron urged people to turn down heating and air conditioning as the "best energy is that which we don't consume", adding that forced cuts "will happen as a last resort".
They currently are, but most NPS are at or beyond their lifespans.I thought the French were self sufficient what with the number of nuclear power stations they have??
Agreed. No government for the last two months is preferred.Where we are as a country in 18 months, I do not know.
All options are open and we have a simpleton in charge with no values.
Place your bets now.
We need grown ups in charge pretty damn soon or we‘re facing max max type of times.Agreed. No government for the last two months is preferred.
Cunts in my park on stolen with masks and knives. Same in the late eighties and early nineties. I wonder whyWe need grown ups in charge pretty damn soon or we‘re facing max max type of times.

We’re never going to stop criminality happening. It seems to be growing pretty quickly and will be off the scale once families can’t pay their bills.Scooters sorry
No; but it always worse under the party of crime and disorder. We’re never going to stop criminality happening. It seems to be growing pretty quickly and will be off the scale once families can’t pay their bills.
For clarity, could you say which is the party of crime and disorder? No; but it always worse under the party of crime and disorder.
No as it is not related to the thread. For clarity, could you say which is the party of crime and disorder?
At least there will be rations of Victory Gin.This will cripple the economy. Everyone on modest wages (working class) and below will have zero disposable income. Leisure and tourism industry will dissapear by next spring. Small businesses s will cease to exist as well.
It's a ticking time bomb which the fuse has already been lit.
If the government don't act now and and I mean radical action. Not just a VAT or income tax cut, we will be in serious trouble that will be irrecoverable for years.
The VAT cut will do fuck all, unless you are a big spender in the scheme of things. Most people are being frugal with their disposable income anyway, so cuttting VAT will be like sticking a plaster on a bullet wound.
Hold on tight everyone cos we are in for a rough ride!!
Seems a bit bizarre. No as it is not related to the thread.
