True. But they'd probably consider it "successful", going by the previous 3 decades. He's spent £600m+ and won one league title and three cups. More failure than success that.

No, thanks. You can have him.Piers Morgan anyone?
That’s it!Moomins, this is Little My
To be fair he’s almost won one of every trophy there is to win (only one he didn’t was the Europa League). At a time when a team like City are around, I think that’s still very good. He's spent £600m+ and won one league title and three cups. More failure than success that.
TAA is the Rashford of LiverpoolThey spent all week slating Southgate for ignoring TAA, only for TAA’s terrible form to continue today
Southgate wrong on a few things but he got the Trent call spot on from day one for me
One premier league. ONE. And even that has an asterisk next to it with covid. To be fair he’s almost won one of every trophy there is to win (only one he didn’t was the Europa League). At a time when a team like City are around, I think that’s still very good.
One of each of the Premier League, FA Cup, EFL Cup, Community Shield, Champions League, Super Cup and World Club Cup.
I’d bloody love to win one of each of the three trophies he’s won with them that we haven’t won yet (despite us being a better team than them).
They must despise us. If it wasn’t for us being around, they'd have won at least another couple of PL titles. And, more importantly, another Carabao Cup.To be fair he’s almost won one of every trophy there is to win (only one he didn’t was the Europa League). Like Roy Keane said at the end of the United v Liverpool game last month “there was no team around like Man City in our day, Gary”.One premier league. ONE. And even that has an asterisk next to it with covid.
Successful my arse.
Don't rule out Brighton...They'll be in a real scrap for a top 4 spot. I think us and the North London pair will finish above them. That'll leave (probably) the Mickeys, rags and Chelsea to fight it out for the last CL spot.
They've got Nunez though...Psychologically MCFC have destroyed them.
Klopp had nothing else to peddle after last season. What could he possibly have said that would give his players any hope of competing this season?
"Okay lads, I know we couldn't beat them last season when they didn't have a striker and yes I know they've got Haaland now........ oh! Fuck it"
MoominsBloody hell, what that off? Remember that from tele when I was a kid
I love it I just love it.Failing to win the quad has broken them hasn't it.
Mint.
I hope you are right Jim and it eventually ends the Klopp era, our biggest domestic rivals. I'm dreading if/when Pep leaves.I'd say that team is coming to the end of its natural cycle. It happens to every successful team; Liverpool back in the 80s, Arsenal in the early 90s, Chelsea under Mourinho and utd under Ferguson. And we'd be naive to think it won't happen to us at well.
Pep came to City because of the structure behind him, I'll start to worry when that goes tit's up, we were successful before however you would think there would be a drop off if/ when he leaves. Only a fool would underestimate our owners. It is a fair point but when is Bayern's run of dominance coming to an end?
RM/Barca very, very rarely out of the top 3 for a long time, with our current set up, I can see us being a force for a long time or it could be over when Pep leaves as nobody signs for City but only to work with Pep, so we could be fucked within 2 years.
:)
