However much I like the idea in principle, I think JWP is far too slow to cover the holes left by him tucking into midfield.

I've always thought Tommy Doyle would be well suited to a conversion to the same role (although would probably have the same pace issue).

Yeah i can see that. Walker or Akanji in the RCB role though covered

His record in cup competitions in phenomenal. He's so good with the ball, he's a Rolls Royce of a player, he doesn't need to score loads of goals.

Also, Chelsea as a team struggle to score any goals. Gündogan didn't score many before City.
Maybe Kovacić has the potential to up his goal return here.
